ANY kind of people who forgo reason for "faith" is a danger to us all. I don't make distinctions as to what name they give their imaginary friend.

I am Agnostic and I would have to say the Christians. The reasons are as follows:
1. Although their are some fanatical Muslims who are on their own personal Jihad and have created some terrible tragedies. They don't really have a major army and weaponry to cause a major conflict and be a threat to civilization.
2. The Jews at the moment are only causing a threat to the Palestinians. If they were to become more of a threat it would be to the Middle Eastern civilizations.
3. Buddist and Hindus are firm believers in reincarnation. That if they harm another living creature or person, they would have to face the consequence of their actions. Since most Hindu's are in India, there main rivalry is with the Muslims in Pakistan. But this is very low key and is unlikely to escalate into any major conflict.
The Buddist are mainly in East Asia, ranging from China to Indonesia, and apart from China ( Which I will explain about soon) have no interests in conflicts of any nature. They are the ones who set themselves on fire as a protest.
4. The Christians, mainly the West, Europe and America.
They are the ones that have caused most of the World's conflict going back to the Romans and the 12th Century Crusades.
So, on a religious perspective, it would have to be the Christians.
But wars and their threat to civilization are not caused by religion generally now. The causes of wars are mainly to do with economics. If a first world country is suffering from a major recession due to a threat on the economy from a third world country. My guess would be China.
Countries, America's governmental agencies for example would initially try covert tactics to undermine the economy of the countries economy, but then would start trying to put global sanctions on the country. The sanctions against China wouldn't work and so America would force some sort of conflict. Using Korea for example to escalate a World conflict against China. China is now the second most powerful nation despite most of it's citizens living in a third world environment and has the biggest army in the World. If America and the West went against them in a conventional war, there is a good possibility that they could loose. Which leads to the Nuclear threat. Once an attack on China was to be made, if the West started to loose conventionally, China wouldn't stop on the borders, they would continue across the Euro-Asian continent to eliminate the threat. It would only take one countries leader to decide to counter the threat using a nuclear strike that would cause the Chinese to retaliate in turn, to escalate the war into an all out Nuclear Holocaust.
So in conclusion that would be the greatest threat to civilisation and because the West is predominantly Christian, the answer would be the Christians.
I suggest you head for the hills with a thermal blanket and radiation suit, because theres a possibility you might need them.
Note to add:
Both spellings of civilisation are correct depending upon whether you use American or British spelling. But why split hairs over spelling when it doesn't impact upon the answer!

Hello.
I actually think that the greatest threat to civilized society is the indifference and hositilty between faith systems or religions. For example there is always tension over who is the one true faith system, there are people who use the name of a diety or a faith system in an attempt to justify pure adulterated wickedness and there are those that commit themselves to wickedness out of ignorance. I say that 'religion' is the biggest threat to society as a whole. People are too ignorant of the universal idea of universal brotherhood, people will not put aside their indifferences because of pride, no matter who they are. I have spoken to many people, of a faith system and not of one, many realise that indifference is a major problem. Universal peace is not possible when some people say that their faith is true and that all others are to be punished, nor is it nice to say that people are in union with dark powers. I always say that no one person is more 'correct' over the over; since the world is a mixture of everything. Truth is universal and not found in one single source, but truth is found in great vast amounts all split up over the world waiting.

none of them it is those that join a civilisation/cultural group/country and dont accept or intergrate into the group they have joined. yes they have their own customs but if you want to live somewhere where your customes and festivals are public holidays move to a country where it is like that.
a country should not fit the mould you want to live by but you should fit the mould of where you want to live or find a place that does. if laws are better somewhere else move there. simply a minority should try to go with the majority not the other way round. this is not racist or anything else but i never asked for you to come here you asked to come here. Enoch Powell had it right and lefties who want everyone to get along in a society that is like a patchwork quilt wont work

None of them do. This world as we see it
is on a fast spiral downwards, but that was prophecied to happen exactly as it is, so
nothing is a surprize today. The human race
will not be allowed to destroy itself - if God had any intention of that, he would have let us kill ourselves off a long time ago.
Some people out there would be better off
if this Earth and all in it did just simply blow
itself to kingdom come, rather than to face
what they will be facing, which is judgment.
There will be those who will hide themselves wishing for death rather than to face their Creator and answer for their
actions, but He says He will seek them out
personally - whether they are under the sea,
in the rocks of the mountains, they will be
found and they will face the Judge, period.
Forget dreaming that you will somehow get away with your crap by the World and its
people just dying off. Ha! You should have
it so easy..........

Right now it is probably Radical Muslims, especially if they get a hold of nuclear weapons, but Christians and Jews are close behind.
Any religion that focuses on an afterlife, at the expense of the real tangible one we are actually living in is a dangerous thing, and directly conflicts with human civilization.
Christianity is not a violent as it once was because western philosophy has incorporated education and science into its general thought, which reasons away violence.
But Christianity has a history of trying to stem education, in order to hold on to faith and tradition. We can see that today in the Evolution debate. Christianity is trying desperately to stop children from learning about Evolution because it undermines the teachings that exist in the bible.
If they take that stance about the whole bible, it is very likely that we could regress into the times when superstition ruled the courts and government, which was called the Dark Ages for a reason.
All religions are dangerous to civilization.

This order: Muslims, Christians, Jews, Hindu, Atheist, Buddhist.
Seriously, even though I'm more inclined to agree with the Atheist paradigm, I can see them causing far more damage than harmless ascetics.

i've got self assurance the best danger is observed as globalization and liberalism. allowing aliens into our own land is against the regulation against the destiny generations of westerners (western international: Europe (alongside with eastern Europe), usa, Canada, New Z., Australia). They act like an epidemic, they do no longer want to resign their customs, they make extra little ones, they intervene, they mixture, they ask for his or her "so-observed as rights". etc. the best danger to the western civilization is the recommendations-washed westerner - without identity, no lifestyle, residing in a concrete desert, with Oprah and Paris Hilton as examples. specific Islam is a danger. specific East-Asian is a danger. they are going to flood (like they did in Vancouver or different places in Canada).
