Sorry not sure what your question is? This is a powerful but rather old drug. It is still used in acute gout, but you have to ensure that you have food in your stomach as it can be very irritant.

I'm not sure what your question is, Sandra, but you can take a look at the following reference site. Simply type Indometacin in the search box at the top right hand corner, and press Enter, or click on Go.

You'll see 4 items listed. The ones with PIL to the left of them, means Patient Information Leaflet. The bottom one, which has SPC to the left of it is Specialist Information. Obviously, this gives a more detailed explanation of the product.

You'll notice that two of the products have the letters MR to the right of them. This simply means Modified Release. These are made in such a way that the active constituent in them is released over a period of time, which is kinder on the stomach.

The second product tells you that it's a suppository. This means that it is used by inserting into the back passage.
