I think something with protein would go well. Eggs would do. You must eat 1 hour before you run, make it digest first.

Great answers above. I find that nervousness causes cramps, too! Yesterday I did a 5K run and a 12 mile bike race. A banana, some coffee, egg whites, oatmeal, tuna. Those things are good. Whatever you eat, it should be something that you USUALLY eat for a healthy breakfast. Your stomach won't like you trying something new. Best wishes!!

If you are going to be running, you need carbs to give you energy. Bananas are very good because they will give you the energy you need and they have potassium which will help with the cramps. I get cramps in my feet so I eat a banana every day and the cramps do not come as often.

u can just have a simple yet full breakfast. i'll recommend sandwiches with a few slices of apple. its healthy & easily to digest.
if u want milk, half a glass is enough...too much milk can cause lactic acid to produce at your muscles causing u cramps esp if u start breathing anaerobically.
oh pls do not eat or drink 40 min - 1hour before the run!
should ve enough sleep too...
