im taking a girl out for the day and its our first date but were both a bit shy and im not really sure what to talk about! we really like each other and know the basics about each other like family and work and stuff but im not sure what to actually say to her! im dreading awkward silences! any ideas anyone?

Normally you wouldn't say too much about yourself, but if she's really shy you have to talk about something, so start by finding out alot about her, her favorite everything, you have to find a common ground that you both can conversate about, music, movies, tv, stay away from politics and religion unless you're sure you share the same views, don't go overboard on talking about yourself, and keep it clean, but if she starts with the naughty stuff, you can't back down, step up and keep up with whatever she has to offer, GOOD LUCK

well if u are taking a girl out for the first time make sure she satisfied buy her anything dt will make her happy like flower, ice cream, love card,and so UN make her feel important and ask her question like these when is Ur birthday, can we be good friend,what make u happy , how close are u to Ur mother, what is Ur favourite food or game, the next time u take her out u can talk about family back ground

well I dont care what anyone says about the cinema being a bad first date coz you cant talk!!! When you're both shy I think its ideal - go to the cinema, then take her for a drink afterwards - if you do find yourself running out of conversations - you can ask her what she thought about the film or the actor or something!

You could talk about where you're going for your day out. Is is something with activities, so at least you and she have the occasional 'time-out' from each other? This might be good.
You could also talk about what you do when you're not with family and not at work. Just avoid talking about exes and politics.

Be yourself. If your not then theres no honesty. 3 tips that helped me as i am shy too...
1. It's ok to be silent at times, i mean no one can talk 24/7. Ask her about things and tell her funny things.
2. Ask her about herself, hold doors open for her, be a gentleman.
3. Enjoy yourself! Its going to be fun and remember always smile!!! :)
Additional tip, If you want to say you have to be somewhere e.g. home for a certain time, this takes pressure off a date that 2 people are scared to say i want to go home now.

Just be yourself .. you ca go to the movies for your first date or go out for a bottle of wine if u are old enough.. it will relax you and u could then relax and talk about anything...

ask what sort of filmsa she likes ask weathr she likes jackie chan or owen wilson ask what sort of food she likes but do NOT ask all at once make shure she gets to say what she wants and sasking questions 3 in a row on a first date is verry rude

hi, i always talk about my favourite things when i am uncomfortable or nervous on a date. i always ask about the other persons fave things too, its a good way to find out what you have in common too.
