both people need faith that things will get better their is help and that they can do it etc but it is these insecurities that they cant alone without a higher power that can be debilitating but the fact that something is possible or something has been done before doesn't mean it can be done again.
although a fact without evidence is just belief in some cases but truth is more important than fact when it comes to information as facts can be used in an argument to prove anything with the use of distorted wording so both are equally important as long as it is truthful and both are useless and can be dangerous when false or misleading

It seems as though the question implies that fact and faith are separate, the further implication being that fact and faith are in some way opposed. However, I suggest that fact and faith are the same thing.
It is said that faith is required in order to believe in God, but whether we believe in God or not, would never change the fact of his existence or lack thereof.
It is said that the facts prove that we evolved from lower order life forms. However, the language used by evolutionists in books and other documents to prove this is filled with vague, faith-like assumptions.
If something is truly factual, you must have faith in it. To those who have faith in whatever they believe, it is truly factual.

Fact, there are countless faiths in different things and it's easier to refine facts to make them right, but faith never changes even if proven totally wrong.

The relative importance of facts is determined for each individual by the faith by which we interpret them.
The relative value of faith is determined for each individual by the facts we deem to be important.

As a christian we must have faith, but faith must be built on facts other wise you can fall victim to those cults.
