Generally speaking I'll accept the quotes are valid for some definations.
But I reserve the non-Atheist ones for the dogmatic faiths.

Do you want to know the truth of the sayings or are asking whether these were said by these men exactly?
I do not know, whether they were uttered by the said men.
But if your question is about truth of the sayings then,
Dean Henry is both true and false. Some kind of devotion is basically from ignorance. But say, if you are a scientist or a very skillful artist and you love your invention or creation and devoted to your work can not be defined as ignorance.
Nietzsche is again true and false. True because The faith is just taught and never thought. False because, We need to be faithful on what we do actually. And what we do should be true.
Miller seems to be an imperfect thinker. There are faithful, devoted atheists. Just followers as much as religions have in plenty.

Ignorance is devotion of nothing.
Faith is the knowledge of things not seen.
All thinking men cannot be atheist. To say all of any thing or any group is wrong to start with as there is never an all. A thinking person would say ah yes the world came about by the big bang and the big bang was brought about by God.

It seems to me that atheists are just as devoted to their lack of belief as religious people are devoted to their beliefs. Have you no faith in anything or anybody? Wow. Unless somebody starts having faith in somebody, there won't be anything left except fishes - very soon. If Hemingway really said that, no wonder he ate his gun.

i can't be devoted if i ignore... it's not even in the human spirit... would you quit cigarettes for a religion without asking why? about the truth nietzche might be talking... i find it limited... human truth is limited... and that's exactly what faith is not. faith is to believe. in whatever. in crazy things... in unseen things... that Jesus was risen, that the God of heaven&earth loves me... that's my decision and my risk. and by having faith, what truth am i rejecting? that i was an ape and that the universe was made cause of an explosion? i think that what nietzche said fits him better, by being part of a movement and philosophy that wanted to believe anything else, than the Bible. and no, like c.s. lewis said... if you'll be on an island, all by yourself, without knowing that somewhere is water to drink and food to eat, you'd know it should exist, cause you feel the hunger and the thirst... if everyone wants to live long and be remembered (and think of all what humans do for that!) is because there is eternity... and if hemingway related himself to a god while saying "atheist" it means that God was in his mind also, as He is in everyone's.

Ever spend that much time in the bible? Just looking up quotes I mean. If you ever read any of these all the way through you would see how corrupted these men were.

I don't agree of those quotations.Ignorance is not the reason why a person is devoted to his or her beliefs but because of faith we are became devoted.

What a person to quote. He led a turbulent social life, married four times, and had other affairs during his lifetime.
He suffered from increasing physical and mental problems, mainly alcohol related and eventually committed suicide by shooting himself.

No, none of those quotes are accurate. However, all are most assuredly arrogant, and ignorant. Just because a thing doesn't work for YOU doesn't mean it doesn't work.
