What is the role of the Holy Spirit in the life of a believer?

Jesus Christ is sitting at the right hand of the Father.

Can we assume that the Holy Spirit is sitting on the left?

John 16:13

" Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will show you things to come".

The Holy spirit both guides and comforts us.

The Holy spirit is not limited by place. He can be everywhere at the same time.

Have faith dear friends in God.

The Bible doesn't in any scripture describe the holy spirit as being a person , or having a personality.
Likewise there is no conversation between either the holy spirit and Jesus and/or God.

So it is logical to conclude that the holy spirit is not a person , but as the bible truthfully states , it is gods active force.(or power)

This wasn't at all a confusing issue for the first century Christians but since satan inspired pagan lies have been taught as Bible truths there has been confusion on this subject.

The fact is , God is not a pagan triune God.

He is one , and his son is his Jesus Christ., a totally separate person and the holy spirit is Gods active force and not a person.

Sitting on the right hand means sitting with power ... not necessarily a physical right or left.

A primary role of the Holy Spirit is that He bears "witness" of Jesus Christ (John 15:26, 16:14). The Holy Spirit was given to live inside those who believe in Jesus, in order to produce God's character in the life of a believer. In a way that we cannot do on our own, the Holy Spirit will build into our lives love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control, all that stuff in Galatians. 5:22-23. Rather than trying to be loving, patient, kind, God asks us to rely on Him to produce these qualities in our lives.

When we chose to have our spirits inhabit human bodies, that part of us that knew all about God, The Holy Spirit, and Jesus went to sleep. When we acknowledge the prescence of The Spirit of truth within us and ask Her questions, She shows us where to find the answers. This process awakens that part of ourselves that has been sleeping and we become aware of the truth about why we came here and what our mission is. This is how we become whole again which is what salvation is all about. Being whole makes us satisfied with holiness and unsatisfied with evil.

When God created man in (Genesis 2:7), he created him in three "parts". He formed a physical 1)body from the elements of the earth, he breathed into him his own 2)spirit, and the results of that union was a living 3)soul. Man was made in God's image in that he had three "persons" that form one man. Yet each is just as much "him" as any of the other persons.

Each part of man touches a different realm and has a different function. The body touches the physical realms and uses the laws of time, space, and physics to affect that world. The soul, which contains the mind, will and emotions, operates in the mental realm, receving information from the body and spirit that it uses to make the decisions of life. The spirit communicated in the spiritual or heavenly realm, were it talks to God himself.

So God operates in each of those three realms. God the Father resides within the spiritual or heavenly realm. God the Son, using the name Jesus, appeared in the physical realm as an example on how to live and the give that life for our salvation. God the Holy Spirit resides with the hearts of men, guiding in the daily decisions of life.

There are three realms that the different "persons" of man touches, and God manifest himself as a "person" within each of those realms.

God is only ONE as Jeus told, Jesus is God's prophet on earth, Holy Spirit is messenger of God to Jesus that is all.

If God is One from three or Three in One, then no need for messenger or message. For God sake understand & follow truth.

Sure sounds like three gods to me. The Christians (to disguise their polytheism and support their doctrines), had to have a god with an additional moving part, it's the "person" who came down to die for them. They actually modified the OT god to accommodate their doctrines. It was all done out of necessity. Early Christianity was polytheistic, bare that in mind and you'll understand why they later had to invent a logical absurdity such a "trinity".

The Holy Spirit in the Quran

The Holy Spirit has been mentioned in the Quran several times and many questions have been raised about the identity of the Holy Spirit in the Quran. Many of the questions come from our Christian brothers and sisters who wonder if the Holy Spirit in the Quran is the third of their Trinity beliefs.

Quran is very clear in denouncing Trinity (5:73) and affirming the Oneness of God Almighty. (112:1-4). The Holy Spirit in the Quran is clearly defined as the angel Gabriel who has been the angel-messenger between The Almighty God and the human beings, e.g. Mary, Jesus, and prophet Muhammed.

In reference to Gabriel, the Arabic Quran calls him; "Ruhhil-Qudus" (Holy Spirit),
"Ruuhanaa" (Our Spirit), "Ruuhul-'Amiin" (The Honest Spirit) and "Al-Ruh' " (The Spirit) . Thus, when reading the verses in the Quran, the whole Quran, we see that Gabriel is the Holy and Honest Bearer of Revelations. We learn from 2:97 that these references are indeed talking about Gabriel.

[2:97] Say, "Anyone who opposes Gabriel should know that he has brought
down this (Quran) into your heart, in accordance with GOD's will, confirming
previous scriptures, and providing guidance and good news for the believers."

To understand the connection between the Angel Gabriel and calling him the Spirit, the Holy Spirit and the Honest Spirit in the Quran we should also read all related verses, 16:102 & 26:192-193.

[16:102] Say, "The Holy Spirit has brought it (Quran) down from your Lord, truthfully, to assure those who believe, and to provide a beacon and good news for the submitters."

[26:192] This (Quran) is a revelation from the Lord of the universe.

[26:193] The Honest Spirit (Gabriel) came down with it.

Thus, the following verses from the Quran are also talking about Gabriel.

[2:87] We gave Moses the scripture, and subsequent to him we sent other messengers, and we gave Jesus, son of Mary, profound miracles and supported him with the Holy Spirit. Is it not a fact that every time a messenger went to you with anything you disliked, your ego caused you to be arrogant? Some of them you rejected, and some of them you killed.

[2:253] These messengers; we blessed some of them more than others. For
example, GOD spoke to one, and we raised some of them to higher ranks.
And we gave Jesus, son of Mary, profound miracles and supported him
with the Holy Spirit.

[5:110] GOD will say, "O Jesus, son of Mary, remember My blessings upon
you and your mother. I supported you with the Holy Spirit, to enable you
to speak to the people from the crib, as well as an adult. I taught you the scripture, wisdom, the Torah, and the Gospel.

[19:17-19] While a barrier separated her from them, we sent to her our Spirit.
He went to her in the form of a human being. She said, "I seek refuge in the Most Gracious, that you may be righteous." He said, "I am the messenger of your Lord, to grant you a pure son."

[78:38] The day will come when the Spirit and the angels will stand in a row.
None will speak except those permitted by the Most Gracious, and they
will utter only what is right.

[97:4] The angels and the Spirit descend therein, by their Lord's leave, to
carry out every command.

It is interesting that God chose to mention the " Spirit and the angels" in these last two verses . In the Arabic language it is not unusual to specify part of a whole group to emphasize the significance of that part. Quran has many examples like these, e.g.. in
55:68 God talks about fruits, dates and pomegranate to emphasize the last two kinds of fruits.

[55:68] In them are fruits, date palms, and pomegranate.

In 2:238 God talks about Salat and the middle salat to emphasize its significance of the middle salat.

It is also interesting to know that the name " Gabriel" in Arabic (Gbryl) has the same gematrical value of the word "Al-Ruh' " (the Spirit), both being 245. G=3 , B=2, R=200, Y=10 and L=30, therefore 3+2+200+10+30 = 245. While the word Al-Ruh' (The spirit) has , A=1, L=30, R=200, U (waw)= 6 , H'=8, therefore 1+30+200+6+8 = 245

We should also know that the Arabic word "Roh" has been used in the Quran to mean the "revelation from God" as in 16:2, 17:85 and 40:15 and also to mean the soul in many other verses, e.g. 21:91, 66:12, 15:29, 38:72....etc

In conclusion, the "Holy Spirit" in the Quran refers to the angle Gabriel and has nothing to do with Trinity or part of a Trinity. Trinity is denounced in the strongest language in the Quran.

Trinity: A False Doctrine

[4:171] O people of the scripture, do not transgress the limits of your religion, and do not say about GOD except the truth. The Messiah, Jesus, the son of Mary, was a messenger of GOD, and His word that He had sent to Mary, and a revelation from Him. Therefore, you shall believe in GOD and His messengers. You shall not say, "Trinity." You shall refrain from this for your own good. GOD is only one god. Be He glorified; He is much too glorious to have a son. To Him belongs everything in the heavens and everything on earth. GOD suffices as Lord and Master.

[4:172] The Messiah would never disdain from being a servant of GOD, nor would the closest angels. Those who disdain from worshipping Him, and are too arrogant to submit, He will summon them all before Him.

[4:173] As for those who believe and lead a righteous life, He will fully recompense them, and shower them with His grace. As for those who disdain and turn arrogant, He will commit them to painful retribution. They will find no lord beside GOD, nor a savior.
