pointless questions on yahoo answers

People failing to get along. War, terrorism, political strife of all kinds. There are people out there who would deliberately kill every person in the world if they could, and as technology improves over time, that becomes more and more possible to actually do. Compared to that, pollution is nothing.

Now if you are living a nice peaceful life in a safe American suburb, that may not be YOUR most pressing problem, but you are the lucky minority in the world. Try living in Iraq or North Korea or Gaza or any number of poor African nations and you would have a totally different opinion. You hear stories on TV and worry that bad things will happen in the future, but you will see in the future that those things will mostly not happen and those that do will not be as hard to cope with as you think. Compare that to the places I mentioned where your family might have already been killed or at least you know several families that have had many relatives killed. If you think pollution is the worst problem in the world, you are so lucky in how well you are living now.

Infidelity! It seems like it's the in-thing to do, and nobody cares who gets hurt :(

Actually, it's traffic congestion and the pollution it creates, especially if you are near a border town that connects to Mexico, it makes you think twice about visiting there and then sitting in your car in long lines trying to cross back into the U.S.....It sometimes takes up to 3 hours....what a WAIT!! and what a waste of your time.

The biggest problem in the world today is radical Islam. It can destroy civilization and send us back to the middle ages.

The next biggest problem is that the world's economy is oil based. We need to break the addiction to fossil fuels.

3rd World nation poverty start allot of problems that could be fixed with education. The problems that stem from their current conditions are:
Under age pregnancies
STD's are out of control
Human trafficking
abuse of the human resources around them to help their- families economically
gang violence
Drug problems
An under-educated populace
The list goes on forever...

I think that if we help our world's poverty problem then allot of other problems will be stopped.
