Im worried if my cat might of caught rabbies from a cat thats been stray for a while. They got into a little fight but only for a minute. I felt my cat and she has no blood or deep bites or blood drawing stratches. I just wanted to know if anyone thinks its likely she caught rabbies and if i should worry? the other cat didnt seem scared of water but didnt drink any either. the other cat didnt seem to drool or foam from the mouth. the other cat seemed stired up but might of been from the fight. She was pretty friendly. It was a cat that ran away but came back and now im worried that im in danger or my current cat is. any feedback will be welcomed.

The stray one probably has had one in the last 4 years and the one that lives with me needs her shots still.

you do have to be bitten to get rabies,
and just because it was a stray cat it doesn't mean it had rabies...I think your kitty will be fine.

Yes Rabies can be transmitted through a fight.

First of all has your cat been vaccinated for rabies? If yes, it is unlikely that she will get it.

Humans can also contract it without being bitten, if you are exposed to the saliva from a contaminated animal.

It doesn't sound like the wild cat had any of the symptoms, but if your cat has not been vaccinated, I would definitely recommend that you have a vet check it and advise them of the situation and follow their recommendations.

Good Luck and I hope that it is just a false alarm.

Rabies is a zoonotic disease spread by saliva and blood. You do not have to be bitten. Your cat could get it from a scratch, eating infected carrion, etc. That's why they give people rabies series whenever they come into contact with an infected animal. It doesn't have to be a bite.
