LET WHO SORT IT OUT?????,.....

As much as I would love it if they brought the troops home (two of my best friends are over there and I might be going soon) I agree with the war, not so much in Iraq but in afganistan. We have to show these people that we arent going to just take their attacks lying down. What would you do if someone slapped you in the face? Most people would slap them back, right? I know the reason I joined is beacause I dont want to take thier crap. I feel like it is my duty to make sure that my mom, my friends and my little sister are kept safe and if war is the way to do it...well than so be it!!

We can't do that: Bush has placed us in this mess, but we can't just leave their country in turmoil. The best thing to do is to partition Iraq into semi-autonomous states: One to the Shi'ites, one to the kurds (who already have quasi-independence), and anthoner to the Sunni. Then have a strong, but limited central government protecting and loosely uniting the three states. That way, the Shi'ites can be independent, but protected from Iranian influence.
By doing this, we can gradually pull out troops. If we leave immediately, I guarantee you that we will be back to clean up a corrupt government. If we stay in indefinitely and continue doing what we are doing (which isn't much), we will exhaust our armed forces and waste billions of taxpayers money for a hopeless cause.
Iraq is the biggest mess-up of the last 50 years in American History.

Now that things have gotten so messy, it's become a great investment. From a purely dollars-and-cents point of view, it would have been best not to start, but once started, it can't be left to them to sort it out themselves. Destabilizing the entire mid-east to that degree would likely be economic suicide.

Exactly.

But it is important that the US withdraws with a plan. No one would want to see weapons in left over US outposts and bases get in the hands of some lunatics.

Logistically speaking, a withdrawl would be costly.

The Iraqis can just solve their own problems. But a withdrawl from Iraq can bear a lot of guilt within US foreign policy.

its been a waste of money since the start
the US should never have entered to begin with
it was none of their business
doesn't the US have enough problems already? shouldn't the US start solving their own issues instead of wasting their money on a pointless war, blinding their soldiers and sending them to their death
they should have never sent their troops there to begin with
rather than spend money on iraq, why not focus on decreasing say poverty levels IN YOUR OWN country, or hurricane victims etc etc. its pathetic really. and what astounds me the most is that there are still supporters for this war after almost 4 years.

Its worser than wasting money. Their killing innocents.
DO you like that a big country attack your country and bombbarding every where and kick your house door come into your house a troop and kill everybody in the house and then burn the house.

It really has been a waste from the start. But no we cannot pull out our troops. We have to finish what a foolish leader started, we cannot bail out on those who put there lives at risk to start a democracy. Also we cannot let the lives of 3,000 plus American Soldiers live's lost be for nothing other than the execution of a Mass Murder they deserve more than that they deserve to have died fighting for a just cause of bringing freedom to the weak
