The typical English breakfast is a plate of cereal and a fry-up.
The cereal is poured into a bowl and covered with milk and sprinkled with sugar or honey. This is accompanied by a mug of strong sweet tea with a dash of milk.
The rest is two eggs, three rashers of streaky bacon, two sliced tomatoes (sprinkled with sugar and salt before cooking), two sausages and half a cup of Heinz baked beans-don't use American or Aussie beans. The beans are heated separately and the rest is fried in Olive oil. (Used to be lard before heart-attacks were invented). This lot is served with fried bread in the same used oil or two slices of toast. Left over bread is coated with butter plus jam or mamalade. Now you've made me hungry so I 'll rush off and get some scoff. Cheers.

Generally everything in an english breakfast is fried, but i tend to grill most of the items. For hubby and myself I grill 2 sausages, 2 rashers of bacon, scambled egg, beans, fried mushrooms (I use fry light or olive oil), toast, fresh filtered coffee and orange juice!! Im a greedy pig!

The best full English breakfasts are served up in traditional B&Bs in (NW) England. If you can find one, pop in and ask how they do it. Some greasy spoon cafes also do it well.
A typical full English consists of bacon, sausages, eggs, tomatoes, mushrooms, and black pudding. The bacon is best fried in its fat slowly to give it its full flavour. Grilling is healthier but the fat runs off and the meat and sausages is not so flavoursome. Best black puddings come from the NW of England (Bury). It should be eaten with toasts and not potato/brown hash, as in the colonies.

You mean a fry up? Yummy...
Bacon, sausage, fried egg, sliced tomatoes, mushrooms cut into chunks. Throw it all in a frying pan till its cooked, add beans and some toast and some ketchup/brown sauce and its done. A lovely way to start a day, especially if hungover!

It will vary enormously from area to area, and person to person... Basically it is a fry up. Fried bacon, sausages, eggs, perhaps fried bread, fried tomatoes, tinned or fresh, some like baked beans, some like fried black pudding, could have chips or hash browns, toast, bread and butter ,pot of tea. some like coffee or fruit juice... lots and lots of variations though... .A fattening greasy meal not good for you but very appetising and enjoyable.

Traditional fry-up is usually sausage, bacon, fried egg, beans, fried bread. You can add mushrooms and tomato if you like. I prefer to grill mine and have scrambled egg instead

Go to Liverpool and pick up a sack of pigs trotters from the butchers in Bootle near the station. Boil up for five hours and serve with lashings of Big Daddy sauce.
