Depends on your maturity and his maturity and how compatible you are and how supportive both your parents are. Will you 2 make each other better for both your futures or worse? Don't think of dating only as a fun thing, it takes a lot of emotional energy, especially for someone your age.

Casual dating is ok, but dont take it at a higher level just yet. You'll be surprised at the amount of effort it takes to make a relationship work. We all think we know it all when we are teenagers, but we never imagine that what we know is totally different to what it really is. Take this time to get to know people and just have fun. It's not about the age, dear. It's about your level of maturity. I would say for most people it's 18 and above...or even 21....but usually not before that. This stage of your life is the stage of confusion and excitement and can be full of hasty decisions. Just take one step at a time and you'll be happy that you went slow. I promise you on that, cuz i'm a living example. ;-) tk care and all the best...- jessie (silverlininghope@yahoo.com)

Its perfectly okay to have friends of the opposite sex at that age, even boyfriends. Just don't go for a 'serious' relationship at such a young age. Enjoy life right now, you'll have soo much time for serious relationships in the years to come.

it's okay to have a boyfriend, but don't get too attached.
don't be pressured into doing something because everyone else is doing it or because you think you LOVE someone.
being a teen is about trying to find what you want in a person you would spend your life with.
always remember that having a great friendship with a guy is better than having just a few months "together."

It's not your age. It depends on your maturity and your ability to handle complex emotions.
If you are asking a bunch of strangers on a question board, chances are you are not quite ready. That's not a bad thing. Having the maturity to acknowledge that you are not ready is a very mature thing. Life's full of ironies like that.

You are very young. Please focus on school, family, and enjoy life. Boyfriend can be pain in the butts and take up all your valuable and fun times. ^_^
Moreover, many young girls tend to make bad choices when they have a boyfriend and it could ruin their life forever. Trust me wait for a couple of years--you will find a nice boy who will love and respect you.
Enjoy life while you can Hun :)

you should not have a b/f until you feel ready to have a b/f. Sometimes when you are single for awhile you dont feel the need too. but only when you are comfortable with guys. its up to you...
