tightly twist small sections of your hair up into a little ball on your head and tie a rag or small hairtie around it to keep it in place, then sleep on it. It works so well!! My little sister has naturally straight hair that goes really curly when she does it!!
Does a hair straightener count as a curling iron? Becuase twist that around your hair, that's how I do it.

I think you can still buy those curlers that they call 'Hot Rollers" in drug stores, target, etc.
Or you can make a spiral of hair around your finger (damp hair) then bobby pin it to hold it secure...let it dry over night.

my mum is a hair dresser, theres two ways she used to do our hair, one in rollers wet and sleep on them or dry with a hair dryer, or rags, (how they used to do it in the 'olden days' you get strips of rags, roll pieces of hair around it then tie it, a lot more comfortable to sleep in and gives you shirley temple curls
