How can anyone really determine what someone else has in their heart of hearts? Only God can do that.
Having said that, I love God and want to love Him more - I don't even think about "going to heaven" although I am sure it will be a wonderful place. When God came to me and saved my wretched sorry little soul, I fell in love with Him - Him Himself. Where Jesus is, that is heaven.
god bless

In my opinion many people are sliding into a false sense of safety thinking there is no God, no heaven and no hell. But what if there was a God, a heaven and a hell? Wouldn't they be surprised? I think that I would rather believe in God and be safe then not believe and end up in hell. I just can't see that everything here was made by some sort of big bang. It's to complicated, far more complicated than just a bang to bring life together. God may have played around with creating human like beings until he said okay I create this and this is what I'm going with as the main race. So we have different types of humanoid skeletons but the main thing is that we were created. He gave us a choice to either love him and be at peace or not love him and be at war. That's where war comes in to play. It's not God who's at war, it's us. He lets us have our stupid wars until we decide we've had enough and turn to him and come to him and decide we want peace. God is not violent, humans are violent. God lets humans have free will. If humans pray for peace he will give it. Humans are just over riding many prayers for peace. There are more war like humans then there are peace loving humans right now.

That is a very interesting question! Well as no one is certain where they will end up people love God first and hope they will be with Him someday in Heaven. Of course the thought of going to hell does upset some people so they try to live the life that God wants them to live (hoping to avoid Hell). You cannot separate God and Heaven. The only reason you want to go to Heaven is to be with God.Heaven without God would be more like Hell. I hope to be with God someday even if i am a stupid ignorant person who foolishly believes in what i read in the Bible as another Answerer has commented. Except i have never read the Bible ,my belief comes from another source.skinny nav.

Probably both.
(Happy pilgrim - fantastic answer by the way!)
I initially became a Christian because I didn't want to go to hell; since then I've been discovering more and more just a little bit of how incredible He is. Some of the things He says - wow - they touch me in a way that no-one else could possibly do.
1 John 4:10 (NIV)
This is love: not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins.
John 17:3 (NIV)
Now this is eternal life: that they may know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom you have sent.

Why would people go to heaven, God had angels in heaven before he created the earth. He already has his angels he don't need people angels too.
God created the Earth for people. Read Matthew 5:5 Psalm 104:5
Stop being misled by the false teachings of hell being a place of eternal torment. Hell is the same as Hades which is the common grave of mankind.

Do you like your father? honestly? in case you have been a father and your babies rebelled or ignored you as in case you probably did no longer exist how would you sense? properly even although we do those issues He nonetheless loves us. sufficient to save us from our very own folly. from the sin that all of us devote and are condemned to dying by using. The trick is to believe in him and believe that when you die you would be saved on account which you fairly comprehend and believe in his sacrifice for you. once you get which you are able to't help yet be completely in love with him that saved you even although you under no circumstances deserved it! you should exchange into grateful as for no different factor better than for His grace that he gave you your life back, on account which you gave it to Him. once you recognize which you are able to't help yet fall in love with some thing so organic and thoroughly made up of love for us. What we do against Him, He forgives while we admit to it. He has forgiven the main heinous sins ever imagined and finished it thoroughly, definitely. He has sooo lots potential for forgiveness it boggles our minds. We besides the incontrovertible fact that must be taught the thank you to forgive by using following an occasion, the wonderful of which of direction is God and Christ.

If it was just about love for God, why would any of them even consider the reward (Heaven) or care if there was a Hell?

I believe that mostly they love the idea of loving god. The business of heaven or hell is secondary. The matter is discussed at some length in:

I can't speak for everyone, but based on what I've seen in my family and friends, it's the love of God himself. I see God as a part of my life, like someone that's always there for me. It's a lot more complicated than that, but that's the nutshell version...
