Don't bother! Processed food is not particularly good for you and, as I see it, the principle is: the more instant it is, the worse the quality.

If you want fairly instant noodles, buy some dried egg noodles (the thinner the better) noodles from the 'Chinese' section; cook them according to the instructions (2-3 mins in boiling water; (this next bit works, trust me) open a tin of tomato soup (a leading brand, not a value brand); add the noodles, a bit of chili powder or some herbs (basil is probably best and some beef mince (you'll need to cook this first as well) and heat the soup. even with the mince, it takes less than 10 minutes to prepare and is really filling.

Well, its true, they are not very nutritious, but when you need a pot noodle, you need a pot noodle. Actually, they are really nice, just like the original as far as I'm concerned. Only have the chicken and mushroom ones, but then I only like those in the original, and they're nice. At 24p each they're an amazing deal. As for shopping somewhere cheap and tacky, if you have to watch every penny, as we do (no, not scroungers, just on a tight budget with a progressive illness, doesn't compare to the previous salary I earned, but makes me glad I paid all those taxes - can't afford to shop at M&S and farmers markets anymore but hey, Tesco works for me!)

Sorry for the rant, but it gets my goat sometimes, you ask a genuine question, if people don't know what Tesco pot noodle tastes like I don't feel it fair for them to comment on a lifestyle choice if it doesn't agree with their own. If you ain't got nothin' nice to say, then don't say nothin'.

Go for the pot noodle, you can afford to take a risk at 24p, but I think you'll be pleasantly surprised.
