i know i sound rude , and offensive please explain though.

i was told that god love us so much that he gave his only son jesus to die for our sins so we must accept him as a personal savior and stuff to be saved.

but what exactly is 'gave'?

i mean seriously he was united with his father after he is crucified , it is not as though he was burn in hell eternally and seperate from god eternally ..

so why ? please don't quote

a stubborn human or foolish human you might say , who chooes not to believe because theres no concrete evidence shown to him , will be burn eternally .

yes i agree that he gave part of himself to be killed , but still he get it back . i know i ask too much from god but still i cant understand why is it so.

This is just a shot in the dark, but perhaps the true meaning behind that passage, the word "gave," was lost in translation. Maybe there's someone around here that would know something about that...?

If you know the story how when Jesus was on the cross He said "My God why have you forsaken me?"
God father and God the Son for a period of time lost the perfect fellowship they always had.
Jesus being in the most need he had ever experienced and God the Father Turning away at that moment could not look on his only begotten son because he had taken on all the sin and guilt everybody in the world throughout history could ever commit.
That is a gift that can't be compared with any thing.

What jesus gave was his blood. He gave up his true Godly form to become a man and spend eternity as a man. think of it as this. Say you get to heaven, when you see jesus he will look like he did as a man, not as he did before he became a man.. most people and christians have it wrong. what he did he did at the request of his father, for his father, the deal was between God and jesus and we our the ones who befit form it. try to imagine it through jesus' point of view. To be something behond compare, and then to have to spend forever less then you were. How much of God can fit in a human? i would imagine some of himself would to have been lost. According to the bible jesus went back to heaven IN his human state. No longer in the exact image of God but now in the image of man! I don't know many if any people who would be WILLING to become less then what they truly are for the sake of people who do not love them. What was "given" we probably will never be able to truly understand.

Firstly, you don't have to accept Jesus as your savior. You only have to if you don't want to go to hell when you die.
Next, you ask what does it mean when God gave his only son Jesus to die for our sins. What it means is that God didn't do what he should have done, which was to exterminate us. That is how bad humans are in his sight, and don't think he wouldn't, he has already done that once in recorded history (the flood of Noah). So God did something that is quite extraordinary: he sent his son Jesus to die in the place of a convicted murderer, the murderer was symbolic in his sight for us and our sins.

Joh 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

The "gave" here is not literally given to us personally. It means, God offered his only son, Jesus Christ to us as man to b elieve on his powers as God, the Son. So Jesus Christ was born as man to teach mankind about God, but the Jews do not believe in him, so that Jesus was crucified and caused his death and was burried. After 3 days, He rose from the dead as God, the son and went to sit with God, the Father in Heaven.

Because Jesus Christ is also God as the Son of God, He did not go to hell but goes to Heaven with His Father. Hew did not separate from God, the Father but joined Him.
Read the bible very well to understand it. OK?

Before Jesus you were under the 10 commandments and you had to bring your goat to the east gate of the temple and sacrifice it for your sins for one year.

If you believe in Jesus you are not under the 10 commandments and he is the sacrificial lamb that shed his blood for you for the atonment.

So you need to give thanks to him for giving up his life for you. Jesus is like a buffer between you and God. God honors Jesus as the new covenant that you are under right now.

DO THE WILL OF GOD
You need to find a home church, be obedient, follow his word, be baptized with the holy spirit, show your self approved and do the will of God (Mark 16: 15 - 18)

He gave Him up to be killed. He could have not allowed Him to die. Why should Gods son die. But God wanted to show His love, so He gave Him to die.

I have been born a christian, but I never knew God really existed. I used to pray in trouble and recently I became aware that it was God who answered every time I prayed.

I received Holy Spirit recently as bible says and I cannot deny His existence. I have felt the urge to question God always because of my lack of understanding and also that the devil always wants us to talk opposite. So I prayed to God to make me not question Him and after long months, I have stopped :)

Please read here how God changed my life,

Ask God for Holy Spirit, because He teaches the truth about God, so that we will not be decieved.

God gave us a part of Himself in the form of Jesus. In essence, He allowed part of Himself to be killed and go to hell for three days, then came back.

hey, some people are under the delusion that Hell is here, so, that fits. He was ridiculed, spat upon, mocked, slandered, plotted against, disbelieved, crowded, always had someone trying to catch him do something wrong, lied upon, tortured, beaten, on the run and of course crucified. don't you think that'd be just a little stressful? he sweated blood before his crucifiction. for the 33 years he was given to man, I bet it wasn't easy.

Apparanly he did go to hell but converted some of the people burning there and then was taken back to heaven.
I think gave is that he was sacrificed to relieve humans of their sins.
I'm not christian and I won't ever be, but the teachers at school told me that.
