OH yes the Marathon Bar. I can just taste them now. The candy market can be very sneaky as they recently came out with a candy bar , by mars called the Marathon Bar. However that is not the same as the old time marathon candy bar, with the braided caramel ! The are not made in the states, but they are still available, but they go by the name Curly Wurly

The did the same thing with Oompas.. years ago they were similar to a large reeses pieces with chocolate and peanut butter... then new ones from a few years ago were chewy like a skittles. It was very disappointing when I thought I was getting chocolate and peanut butter and ended up with a skittle..

Try a curly wurly I think you will find it as being the same.

If you're talking about the American Marathon bar, which was a long braid of caramel covered in chocolate, it's long gone.

However, Cadbury in the UK still makes a bar that's nearly identical called the Curly Wurly.

You can order it online

I often find them in stores that have imported candy, including Indian stores, Cost Plus World Market and candy shops that have a large inventory (the Powell's chain on the west coast).
