Basically you can adjust the angle and engagement of the sear by grinding off the edges, very carefully. But if you get it the slightest bit wrong you have a gun that can go off at the drop of a hat, if it will work at all. People I know who work on triggers mostly have a collection of ruined parts that they 'practiced' on. Unless you feel like learning by your mistakes, and paying for them in parts, you'd be better off taking it or sending it to a decent gunsmith.

Take it to a gunsmith for a trigger job is ultimately the right answer. But, there are a couple of things you can do before you get to that point. How much have you shot the thing? I think it's a bit excessive but the gunsmith who does most of my work won't touch a trigger until the firearm has had 500 rounds fired through it, and for some firearms he recommends 1000. The other thing that is possible is to replace the springs--look at midwayusa.com to start, see if they have a Wolfe Spring Kit for your firearm, they are inexpensive and may help. Finally, are you sure the action is really clean? Sometimes new pistols are so dirty from the factory that just cleaning them can work wonders on the trigger. If none of these remedies work--take it to a gunsmith. You might get lucky if you try it yourself, but it is more likely you will end up with a firearm that doesn't function or is even dangerous.

The fact that you are asking this question suggests that this is something you should not attempt yourself. It is quite a straightforward job to improve the trigger pull on this gun, and nothing to do with the firing pin. Take it to a gunsmith, it won't be very expensive and the gun will still be safe. This is NOT a job to be attempted by amateurs.

First of all, that's a semi-automatic pistol. An automatic is also known as a machine-gun.

Take it to a gunsmith. They can reduce the trigger pull while still maintaining a safe firearm.

Maybe you should try a training class for "more accuracy" first?

Why are you hunting with a pistol?

Has someone called the cops yet?

I know nothing about guns apart from the fact that they kill!
