I am a nontheist (I do not believe in a god) but I am open to debate on the issue. I would like to know what arguments people believe are the strongest arguments and lines of evidence that support creationism, especially young earth creationism. I want to know why people believe in creationism, and would like to see the evidence that supports their position.

I DO NOT want to read mindless prattle, please, if you are going to respond do so intelligently without profanity and without attacking other peoples beliefs.

Also, please include sources for your arguments if possible, I would like the opportunity to read what you have read to lead to your argument for creationism.

The strongest argument for Creationism is the found in the Bible. Creationists claim there is scientific evidence for to support the Biblical creation, but none exists.

There are several well known books written by creationists from various backgrounds. They criticize the evidence of evolution, but do not offer any testable and disprovable theory as an alternative. A scientific theory must be disprovable to be viable.

If I were a creationist, I would refer you to the Bible. If it is the word of God, then it must be the most persuasive source.

The true evidence of a creationist's view is his faith. If you reject the existence of the Biblical God, then you cannot consider this evidence. All attempts to argue that creationism can explain our origins, all evidence that they claim to have, rests on their faith.

In Catholicism Adam and Eve are De Fide (taken on faith) but Catholics per the current Pope and last Pope believe in evolution.. Look at all of the races of people out there and differences in appearance, could two people Adam and Eve do all of that without evolution? Each baby born inherits 1/2 of the DNA strand from the mother, the other 1/2 from the father.. Without evolution, how would the Adam and Eve story work?

How can a simple cell program it self to create anything on its own, when normal cells mutate into a cancerous cell? If you look at all of the species on the earth, there has to be a balance of prey and predator. Who or what planed that, a cell? I just saw on the news that Homo habulis and Homo erectus are from the same time line, meaning that there is no link between them. Scientist for decades have been stating that habulis linked to erectus. Where is the missing think of ape to man? If something evolved from something Else, wouldn't there be a beginning and an end?

You say you do not believe in God but you do not get to know him.

Electricity as an example

Take electricity
You can not touch it, see it or taste it but you learned the effects that it has and you learned how to use it. How come you do not learn to fellowship with God.

It really has no strong components to it .untill Victor Stenger came along I used wonder about the prerequisites of the big bang but has conjectured with mathematical support the unstability of nothing to reasonable doubts.

It'll be the ones containing the most scientific illiteracy, ignorance, denial and dishonesty..

Equally, the gullible and ill informed and scientifically illiterate listener would have to embrace denial, ignorance and dishonesty to make room for their bigoted and selfish religious beliefs and agendas..

Quite simple really..
