Have you counted the number of churches you pass on the road? That's why I doubt religion is an old idea being slowly forgotten. Each one of those churches represents a congregation, no matter how big or how small.

Religion is the natural bent of the human mind, at least it has been for thousands of years and there's no sign that it's decreasing. There have always been a small minority of contrarians who decry religious tendencies. But it seems to be an innate impulse in most human beings. I don't think it's something we're simply going to rationalize away or evolve out of; it simply changes forms from culture to culture, age to age.

Who told you that religion is merely an old idea? and forgetting the betterment of mankind? Do not say things which you could not understand well.It will only appear your ignorance of things around you.
Life of mankind is better throught the guidance of God and true religious things. You could not obtain goodness without God and without religion.

Without my religious understanding and religious idea, I must have killed you now or I must have rape you or get you out from your husband to have you anytime I like but because of religious matter, you are still remaining in that place.
Understand your sorroundings please. if you know how to understand your self and if you are intelligent enouigh to know things.
