One of my cats thinks ( quite rightfully, as it turns out) that she is the QUEEN of the universe. She has quite a few "subjects" under her royal rule : Two dogs, 9 cats, and me and my husband. Everyone has to bow to her wishes, or else they get told off in no uncertain meows! When she is in a bad mood, the dogs and the other cats keep out of her way, and my husband and I try to placate her. She is only 4 years old, and the youngest of the brood, but man, she rules this little roost like a crotchety old lady, and we just adore her!

Have you ever heard the saying "My dog thinks he's human, my cat thinks he's a god"? :) I think they're almost all like that (although I've occassionally owned one that acted more like a dog). Even the street cats I help feed have the highest sense of dignity and snobbery about them. Must be from the Egyptians worshipping them as gods... obviously they've never forgotten!

Your cat does not think he is Master of the Universe.. he knows it.. and so do you.. that's why you give.
.. although I'm afraid my cat would have a bone to pick.. given that she is known as Gigi-Lala, Mistress of the Universe ;)

once i tried to get my cat down from over the sink area by yelling and splashing water at her. She just looked at me and learned my rage. A day later she attacked me in the same way. It freaked me out. I have never yelled at or been hostile to my cat since.

My cats are still little so i do not really know yet.What i can say is that i love them and treat them so well,BUT whenever they do something i do not like i kick their *** like it is meant to.Just cause their sweet and cute it doesn´t mean they can have control over everything.After all, we are their parents so we must provide them also with discipline!!!

Hahaha...your cat should have a playdate with my male Hemingway Himalayan...they can do each other's hair and hold the mirror for each other.
