All of a sudden, the alarm remote won't open the door, the key won't turn either and from inside, I can't manually raise the lock. The only way the door will open is by pulling on the handle on the inside door. Any clues what may have happened and how to fix it?

I have a 2004 Dodge Hemi Ram 1500 Quad-Cab

check fuses first. Also,as it's fairly new, have you locked your keys in the truck and had someone get in it for you?if so the rods could have been bumped loose of even stretched, not allowing it to function properly.take the interior door panel off and have a look. could also just be rusted up and need some lube.wd40 first to loosen them white litium to lubricate and keep from rusting again. Hope this helps

it could be that the magnets inside the door are damaged, sometimes dirt and grime can get inside and mess things up. my gmc safari had that problem. the driver's door, right? it usually is. i took the door skin off, sprayed the heck out of the looking mechinism with wd-40, and believe it or not, it worked! it might be the same problem with your truck, good luck!

Sounds like the lock solenoid in the latch is locked up. You would need a new latch.
