My 2 and a half year old has her molars comming in. She has a clear runny nose and NO fever! She just woke up and had to go and throw up? Can her new teeth that are comming in cause her to get "sick"?

The excess saliva shes making from teething is being swallowed. Thats making her nauseated... the best thing to do is to feed her things that will be easy to come up (no chicken chunks) and clean up (nothing red) incase she vomits again.

Most likely that is what is happening. When my daughter first started to get her teeth she was tottaly by the book. Fever, running nose, diarrhea, throwing up and not eating much.
Here are a few things that I tried:
1) teething ring
2) take one of her washclothes and dip about half of it into water snd then freeze it
3)give her a bottle with cold water and a little bit of ice ( this also helps if she has diarrhea-this will help with putting fluid back into her body)
4) put applesauce or yogurt in the freeze for 10-20 minutes and then feed it to her

also ask her doctor 1st but Infant Tylenol also helps and Baby Orajel is a life saver. For me most of the time the Tylenol I didn't have to use until night time.
With the wash cloth it is good to relieve the pressure on her gums, she can bit and gnaw on it all day long.Just remember to put a few back up ones in there. If she gets diarrhea Pedialyte is also good for them.
I hope this helps you out. With my daughter (who is 21 months) I was on the phone with her doctor 24/7. My son who is 16 months gave us none of the signs that he was teething. On Christmas Eve alittle white spot in front showed up and then 3 days later (no lie) he woke up and had 6 teeth in his mouth.4 on top and 2 on bottom. No fever,no diarrhea,no rash,no ear pulling,no nothing.
Good luck

My 3 kids never vomitted when cutting teeth, though two of them would get quite sick when some of their teeth came in (pain, fever, colds). I have seen kids vomit from stress, and of course, some people will vomit from pain. So it makes sense that a toddler could vomit if she is having a lot of pain cutting a new tooth.

Yes, it can cause vomiting, she is probally drooling alot and that is all going back into the throat area, ect. It made my son throw up several times when he was teething. It is just due to gag reflex trying to push away the foreign object (mucus) that is there. HTH

Yes, it can happen, especially in the morning like you said. She spends an entire night swallowin whatever is coming out of her nose. By morning, her stomach is almost empty so all she has is mucus. It's making me sick just thinking about it.
