It seems that a lot of ethnic communities in UK have a resentment towards Britain's history, Empire, culture, achievements, laws etc.

Why allow more asian muslims in, when they simply do not fit in. Support for Sharia Law and Terrorism, Honour Killings, refusal to mix in with the native population, setting up a state within a state, high prison population, high unemployment, low school achievement, sexism etc etc...what real use are they to Britain.

You also see this with some Afro-Carribean "thinkers" who resent britain's past, saying everything britain has ever done is on the backs of slavery etc! Slagging the Empire etc. Always blaming RACIST britain for the failures of their community. A bit insulting to the british, id say!

Why the hell come here. Im not of British origin, but i respect this country greatly, and feel british, and as a result british people treat me as british!

Those that come here, learn english, mix in with british people, get jobs, set up businesses, obey the law, and respect british culture, history and way of life will find britain very accommodating. Theres not that much resentment towards chinese people,Indians Eastern christians, Jews, Greeks or Poles, basically because they fit in!

I share similar sentiments for people who do not want to fit into British Culture. Sod off back or to another country they do like and quit their winging. They may moan about Britain, but it was a fairly successful country, thats why they wanted to come here. I think a lot of these foreigners are "sulky" dont u find.

The main problems with this argument and i don't dispute some of what you say is true, is that how do you know they resent this country until they are in and settled, you can't set up a system where you say to someone at the point of entry you must be a loyal citizen and never have an opinion on it's past. Asian and Afro-Caribbeans peoples have been settling here for years, many with no problems whatsoever, but it's many of the younger generations that were born and bred here that are causing many of the problems we see today.
I am of British Origin and am proud to be so, but if you want to blame someone look to successive governments, who have had no cap on immigration and now by and large it's too late to do anything about it. I do agree that people who don't like the system in operation, it's laws and ways should think seriously of going elsewhere, but that is not going to happen, many now have a foothold and aren't going to move whether we wish it or not.

Definitely not , Islam for example consists of people who have deep rooted ancient politics and culture which has taken 1000s of years to develop.

It is not "racist" to be against an ideology like Islam because Islam is 90% political and is NOT a race. We make the biggest mistake ever in UK history if we allow the Islamic pooulation to reach 10s of millions, there is currently no law or even a policy to prevent this.

Those whom the gods wish to destroy they first make mad, I never thought I would ever live to see the day when the UK would bring people here in millions who have deep rooted politics and culture which is so anti the UK and our way of life.

Even TURKEY an ex Islamic country has learned the lesson of the Islamic danger, Turkey has rightly banned the hijab and made an heroic change to a secular Turkey in I think it was 1923.

If you have a skill that is needed in the UK - (ie highly skilled jobs such as doctors, surgeons etc), you have enough money to support yourself, will be paying taxes and not depending on the government for anything, you are welcome.

If you are a penniless migrant looking to milk this country for all its worth because your own country cannot provide you with all these things, you're not welcome and you can bloody well go home. We have enough poor of our own without looking after the poor from other nations as well. Charity begins at home.

If you have problems with this country, its culture, its people, and are liable to be found standing on a soapbox in Finsbury Park preaching death to the Infidel etc then you should be put on the next plane to the Islamic country of your choice with no return ticket.

It's simple, Government has let us down, particularly this one. As in the past, immigration should be based on GENUINE need, and quotas should be strictly applied. Controlling immigration, including numbers, is essential to maintain social cohesion and avoid conflict.

In answer to 'teddy'. Resentment tends to created within communities, rather than on an individual basis, much of it predictable.

Whoaaaa...This is very tricky question and I doubt it could be simply answerered.

Of course that your nation has full right not to allow ANYONE from abroad to settle in your country, especially if the people coming from certain parts which are not respecting host's country customs, history and way of life.

However, you have to know that without those immigrants in most countries in EU,you are (sorry for the expression) in deep sh*t.Yeah! Who would work low-paid dirty jobs on the streets, public toilets, junkyards, building industries etc. in Britain, Germany, France or wherever all over the EU if there is no mass of Pakistani, Morroccans, Algerians or whoever you consider that is not fitting in your picture of "civilized" nations who reached some level which would be acceptable to you. Would you? Any of your friends? Hardly, If there's no such kind of people in your country, it would affect a lot on your nation's benefit and as a consequnce, you wouldn't be so weathy nation if there are no such people there.

Empire you said? Are you aware how much troubles in past that empire brought to the people that lived in colonies? How those countries were ripped-off of their natural resources so now living generations of british could live in great abundance (unlike them)...

However, I'm glad that your community considers you as one of them, but I know one young couple from ex-Yugoslavia that lived as refugees in Newcastle-Upon-Tyne for 5-6 years with simmilar respect to the Britain as you, worked hardly their jobs, paid the taxes to the Government on time etc... Guess what happend one day? One day the politics said it is enough safe for them to return to their country, police was sent for them without warrning... They had only time to pack their thing and they were driven out of Britain without any possibility to complain to anyone. Oh, yeah, and one more thing, she was 6 months pregnant by that time. They didn't care about that.

But I agree..it is insane to accept more people fromthe countries that do not respect the host, and on the other hand, driving out loyal people who had fully respect for the local laws and customs.

Of course no country would like people there who resent the country and it's past.No country needs troublemakers. If they aren't familiar with the customs of the country they are going to,they should learn about it before going there,it would sav e everyone allot of time and trouble.

What on earth are they doing coming to Britain if they detest so much about it... It boils down to the age old issue 'my piece of the cake at all costs'! There are racist elements that do frankly embarrass us, but they are in the minority, just as there are those who come here with other agendas; they embarrass themselves. Come to Britain, live in Britain, be British; beliefs are irrespective of citizenship, no?

You have pretty much summed it up. When a person resents Britain I would have to question their motive for wanting to come here. I have no problem with immigration, only that they obey the rules and that they work, simple as that. Spongers need not apply as we have enough of our own.
