What since when did jason take manhattan, anyways anytime a deranged and vengeful murderer with a machete does anything its always violent........

All Friday the 13th movies contain violence.
Jason takes Manhattan was a rather stupid movie in the franchise (and I like horror/slasher movies).
If you don't like the sight of blood or don't like horror movies, I would say avoid watching it.
If you like horror movies, it is laughable and almost pathetic.

Of course it is violent. By the way, it was mostly filmed in Vancouver, B.C.
