And if i go to New York it is going to cost me about $400 more for hotel and plane tickets but i don't mind :) So i really need some good suggestions. P.S. if you have any other destinations please let me know I love big cities. so keep in mind doesn't have to be NYC or Chicago. However would appreciate if you can tell me which one. New York would be great, but if you haven't been to Chicago and want to explore new territories or something like that, then go to Chicago. you've been to New York already. but, if you're heart tells you that New York's YOUR place to be, then so be it. i'm just suggesting. :) enjoy your trip and stay (wherever you're gonna go) and take care! :)

Usually in November, Chicago is colder than New York. I visited NYC around Thanksgiving 2005 and highs were in the low 30's.

if you're choosing between those 2 in november- you must either really enjoy the cold or you're from somewhere colder - Canada maybe?
anyway, I'd say nyc. Chicago I think has crazy cold wind in the winter and at least, like others said, the holiday spirit is already buzzing through the city and in late November the Thanksgiving day parade is fun and all the stuff starts getting lit up around here.
How bout somplace warmer though? Charlston, Miami, Austin, Santa Fe? I'll be heading to San Diego myself.

BRRRRR!!!

It can get real cold in November - bring wool socks, a hat, and good jacket.

New York is the best city in the US. You will never run out of things to do especially at night. You can stay at Central Park West on 103rd St for $85 / night - private room.

If you have never been to Chicago, then it is worth seeing eventually. The museums and the food are excellent.

the weather in NYC in november isnt that cold yet , well somtimes and depending on what part of november...

Chicago! November is great in the city here. It's all decked out for Christmas and everyone is getting ready for parties for the holidays. Check out some sites like metromix to find out specifically what events are happening that weekend. My recommendations are always Second City and IO Theater though, they have the best shows regardless of what time of year it is and the people you see will be famous for funny stuff on TV and Movies in a few years so that's cool too.

Well if you go to NYC around Thanksgiving time you can watch the lighting of the Christmas tree at Rockafella Plaza. They always have a bunch of festivies going on. Chicago is great also but NYC is Way Better!

I drove there years in the past... no longer too undesirable of a experience, you is often waiting to snag a weekend particular w/a condo agency. you're no longer likely to wish to stay on the long island section, please to your own protection stay in Canada... no humorous tale
