Haha - take if from a military brat AND wife!!
100 % the honest truth.
Except no. 8 : some of those white-haired Exchange and Commissary employees and customers are extemely rude and malicious!! Especially when it comes to women with small children.
For them, politeness did not come with the wisdom of old age.

no longer me I submit to in ideas what PT Barnum suggested. i replaced into greatly surprised that the media went overboard on the AIG bonuses and not the main important ripoff os American funds by using the financial establishments in our historic past, greatly surprised that no person did something to morgan Stanley for paying media merchants to "leak" there replaced into an oil shortage, for that reason using oil to $one hundred forty a barrel and because no person has thrown up the regulations they're doing it returned, greatly surprised that no person has even reported the regulations that should end the financial crooks type doing what they did returned, so watch that industry. greatly surprised that any one in each of their top ideas might coach secret "torture" memos and not think of it would positioned troops in harms way, oh in line with probability no longer a seven hundred% improve, yet wager the 'photos' are an analogous. i'm greatly surprised. She won't be able to truly have self assurance what she suggested, the astonishing brass wrote that for her. he's an legal expert and knew what replaced into taking place all alongside. i individually don't understand why they're doing this strange stuff, it incredibly is like he has the countless cyborgs that Bush had, yet worse.. As she might say, Have an "enchanted" 2009!

This list is nothing to me but cute. I see why people agree and follow these but I don't carry the same ideas. My husband's job is his job, and nothing more. His job may affect our relationship more than an average job would but he nor I will let it change our personalities or how we do things.
I will always write in ink. I will covet highly desired posts as will he, doesn't mean we'll get them but we'll try. We don't care about neighbors, and the people we meet will be left where we met them and then its time to move on. The best part of any assignment is being together, other than that we can both hate it with a passion and know it's what has to be done. If my husband decides to be a moron on moving day, I will swear at him and vice versa. When going to a new post I wouldn't brag, they are all the same anyway.
It's part of our life but we don't immerse ourselves in every facet of it. Whatever makes the life easiest should be done for that particular family, but doing it our way works for us.
*yes I knew I'd get thumbs down for thinking that a cute, void set of words didn't agree with me. blasphemous I tell ya!

Been there...live those!! I think number 8 should be higher up the list though. We live on a base where there is a huge retiree community in the area and people are constantly complaining about how they "clog the system" at the hospital, pharmacy and commisary. These are the people who have already dedicated their lives to this country...they deserve respect.

WOW! lol as an EX Military wife, I STILL agree with this. Even though we have been divorced 7 years, I still keep in touch with people that I have met at other bases. But I am guilty of number 9 though. lol
But who would have thought remembering someone else's social security number was easier than remembering your own? lol

Eeehhh..some of it. However; those white haired retirees need not yell at wild eyed mothers of three small children in the midst of a melt down because she didn't "follow the arrows!" painted on the floor of the Commissary because she was desperately trying to get out of there as quickly as possible!

Love them!! We have something similar to this printed up and in our goodie bag for new spouses in our squadron. Gives them something to chuckle about!
#6 is sooo important! I keep telling people look at things in context.
But I do tend to break #9.... it happens... he irritates me and I have to yell at him. Or he complains about not getting to the free movie while deployed and I'm at home with 2 sick toddlers.
And for those of you getting all up tight... it's all in fun!! No one says you have to live by these...... it's just a chuckle!

I would never be a military wife. For 1 I am a man and for 2 that sort of lifestyle I would never accept. If I was involved with anyone I would want to be able to see them at least a couple times a week. I also am not in favor of fighting for what the government claims is a good cause. In most cases I'm sure that I would disagree.

Very cute; but, since I am not a military wife, I can't relate to your diatribe. As the wife of an attorney, a physician, a teacher, I am sure one could develop ten commandments for each of those professions.
My oldest daughter was married to a military man. She kept every commandment, yet he divorced her. My youngest was a military wife, who enlisted, divorced, and married her Sargent, Yes, these commandments do exist, and I am sure many military wives feel bound by them; but, these commandments are demoralizing and denigrate the importance of the "military" wife. Fear of retribution is not allegiance, not does it verify loyalty.
Unfortunately, there is a "pecking order" in the United States Military--no matter what branch. Hopefully, you are in the "upper pecking order".
