silence when I turn the ignition key
the cracking of a large tree limb above
violins
hissing of a tire going flat
neighbors screaming and arguing
fingernail on a chalk board
pages of a book blown by the wind, losing my place
dentist's drill
screeching tires get my attention - quick!
loud uneven beat
when a sewing machine needle breaks, mid stitch
a slithering snake in the grass, you can't see
minor chords
flipping a light switch, hearing a loud pop from the lightbulb
fighting cats
the pit bull next door snarling when I walk near the fence
when the lawnmower blade grinds a rock
mouse chewing or scampering in the night
the splat of milk on the floor
breaking glass
a trash truck before sun-up
singing pipes or ones that knock
smoke alarms
the sound of an upset mule
mosquito's in the dark
a constant drip
fire crackers and fireworks after midnight
talking during my TV show
alarm clocks
2 bumpers crunching
the word "WHY???" for the umpteenth time that day
the screaming whine of a table saw starting up
a key in darkness not finding the lock
whining child
the sound when a full trashbag tears and dumps
pulling multiple nails out of wood
malfunctioning printer sounds
the sound of an overflowing toilet

When a car alarm goes off and owner is not around to shut it off! The sound of my dog licking her paw.. She is a bit neurotic and has done this since a pup.. Called a Lick Granuloma.. Hate the licking sound when I'm trying to fall asleep! She stops when I tell her NO LICKY! A few minutes later, at it again! Also the sound of her chewing her nails! Crunch sounds as she is giving herself a pedicure! Fixation with her mouth maybe? lol

my daughter has this really high pitched squeal she does when she is playing and after hearing it several times it drives me nuts, and also alarm clocks usually just cuz i dont want to get up, and when people make smacking sounds while chewing food or gum they sound liek cows chewing their cud, or the sound of flys buzzing, and my husband gets annoyed because everytime i take a bite of food, i run my tongue ring across my fork or spoon, it dont bother me, but if he had one he would do the same thing lol

I have a hard time dealing with more than one noise at a time. If the TV is on, and the telephone rings, I have to mute the TV. Weird, I know.
Good luck and take care of you!

The sound of my cat using his claws on the furniture drives me nuts. I always yell at him and he always runs. He knows better, but he does it anyway. (Obstinate cat!)
