If you're lactose intolerant and you drink milk and you're unable to digest it, does that mean you don't get the nutritional benefits like the protein or calcium?

Just means the sugar (lactose) sits in your gut and ferments, making you feel miserable. Doesn't interfere w/ anything else. Take an enzyme capsule like Lactaid w/ each serving of dairy and it's not a problem.

Ohh I could go crazy with answering this question.
First of all, when people are born into the world they are naturally lactose intolerant, everybody is. Milk proteins coming from animals actually leach calcium from the bones which is the leading cause of osteoporosis. Why do you think America has the #1 spot of all these health issues including heart disease, and their top priority is advertising milk, dairy and meat?

But I'll stop myself from lecturing.
If you're interested, google "milk is bad for you."

It means you don't break down lactose (milk sugar). You'll still get the calcium from it. There are pills you can take with your meals for this. They're available in the dairy section of the supermarket. There is also milk already made with the cultures in it for good digestion.
