If God said music was sin, you would want to know why before you stop listening to music right? You would expect a justifiable reason for outlawing music right?

similarly, what is Gods justification for condemning homosexuality?
****__why__**** is it wrong according to God?

Oh, just come out and admit it. If you were God, wouldn't you make a bazillian silly rules just to confuse people, too?

Just kidding, an excellent question.

Though I am not a Christian I can help in answering this question. The answer is he did not. Nowhere did he say it is a sin explicitly not even J.C. said anything. I am well familar with the Parts in Romans, Corinthians and Leviticus and am convinced that what they refer to is folks who have gone against their own heterosexuality and engaged in phsyical homosexual relations without any feeling of love but rather did it for kicks. True homosexuals feel a true love for a person of the same gender and posses a natural desire/ instinct for sexual relations with the same gender. Also the writers of the bible, like writers today were subject to their own prejuduces, ignorance and ideas. On a related note the real sin involving homosexuals are the attitudes of so many religous people towards gay people of which shows itself in fear, hate, judgementalism, intolerence, self rightous bible qouting and discrimination as well as insensitivity, language and occasional voilence.

If you don't think it is a sin, why worry about the god question?

If there is a god and god makes rules, those are the rules, not because they make sense but because god said so. I mean, why be god if you can't act like god just because you can?

It is kind of like congress. They make stupid laws all the time, but they are still the law.

On the other hand, maybe there is no god and no rules other than those made by humans. So you should blame your ancestors for stupid rules.

"How does God justify making Homosexuallity a sin?"
He doesn't have to justify it, of course. He *defines* sin.

"If God said music was sin, you would want to know why before you stop listening to music right?"
No.

"You would expect a justifiable reason for outlawing music right?"
You have already proposed the *only* justifiable reason: God said.

"similarly, what is Gods justification for condemning homosexuality?
****__why__**** is it wrong according to God?"
The justification - the *only* justification for *any* definition of sin - is "God said".

Actually, according to God, Homosexuality is not a sin.

In the ACTUAL bible, before it was translated, God never mentions homosexuality as a sin. What he says was a sin, was prostitution from man to man, woman to woman, AND woman to man.

Therefore, where most think Homosexuality is wrong because the bible says so, they infact are wrong about the true word of God.

And to back up anyone who doesn't believe my remarks above, here's another thing.

Times have changed. The bible said to stone to death those who curseth. He said not to wear clothes of more than one fabric. He said many things, but I don't see anyone stoning their own children to death because they used a curse word, and everyone wears clothes of more than one fabric. Therefore almost everyone is a sinner for not following the teachings of the bible.

God is Almighty.God has created men and women.God rules the law that men for women and women for men. Man and woman should love each other.God does not allow man loves another man or woman loves another woman.Someone who against the God's law will have sin that is its justification.God gives us a free will or free choice but also God has given us the guide of life in the form of holy book.If we choose the bad things or do that is not allowed by God and we do not do what have to be done in line with the life guide so we will have a sin as our consequencies.

Yes, I would want to know why!
I really think that God did make us .... all of us, but so did our parents. Homosexuality is not a sin in my book. I think that somewhere in the bible it is said that God loves all of his children, not just the hetero kids. It is people who choose to hate others, not God.

this is the same God who also called porn, treating chicks like they're a dime a dozen, prostitution, beastiality etc sins. why are you so surprised?

for the umpteenth time, God did not make people gay. got me so far? He made mankind. if you're "born gay" then that's just an inconvenience to you spiritually. we all have temptations to deal with, so deal with it! for some guys, porn is hard to get by, for some chicks, it's dressing modestly. for homophiles, it's having a biological thorn in your side.

the thing is, the human mind is trainable. one may not be able to control getting urges, and one doesn't need to. one just needs to not give into them. it's not being attracted that's the sin, it's having the relationships and/or condoning them.

what's wrong with homosexuality by God's standards?

1) it's a lead-on to many other sins. once someone has no problem with homosexuality, they tend not to have a problem with re-writing Scripture, twisting God's word to fit their desires, condoning sin, and often fornication.

2) if you know the Bible well, you know God's plan for marriage was the uniting of one man and one woman together in a spiritual, emotional, mental and physical bond. hence, the devotion of both parties, commandment to love, setting priorities and of course the stipulations of sexual activities. homosexuality misses the mark by far.

3) God's not about to okay something just because mankind wants it. acts of perversion are obvious and man's unwillingness to question them is obvious. why is having a sexual relationship with an animal or a child wrong? it's just one of those biological perversions.

The same reason that being an intellectual is a sin, or picking up sticks on the sabbath requires execution or the same reason for banishing women at times of the month, or murdering your children in floods or threatening them with hellfire....... I would imagine.

Because God is God.... just because something is physically or psychologically pleasing or satisifying does NOT mean that it is good for us...

take being on morphine... when i had morphine for pain, i thought, wow, i would love to just stay on this stuff and float thru life ... it is a thing of the flesh... how it feels was what was important..... does God want me addicted to morphine? no.... because it places morphine between God and me.

anything that is against God's plan..... has its reasons for being such.... and I know that God has my best interest at heart... and He does know best even if i don't understand it all the time

If God exists, He made gay people the way they are and I doubt He ever said anything against it. However, some of His ignorant followers did.

Not to mention-- if God makes the rules, why did He decide anything is a sin? He could have said nothing is a sin, but instead He must be bised and we have to live by His ideals?
