Imagine THIS... A HUGE vat is FULL of thick, flavored mashed potatos...- which is then tightly PACKED into long steel tubes- & slowly squeezed out, sliced & quick dry cooked in a long narrow oven...-alittle salt is sprayed on the long "tubes of sliced potatos"- & into their cans they go, -as fresh made Pringles. (SO they're not REALLY potato "chips"-at all, -they're Mashed Potato Chips!!!).

I've always assumed they mash the potatoes into a soupy liquid mass of starch then cast them by injection molding like plastic cups. Just guessing but that's how I'd do it.

Don't know how they are made, but they are not considered a potato chip.

they are made from instant potatoes that are rehydrated and formed.........
