So let's talk about Nostradamus, Jeanne Dixon, Sylvia Browne. And how about the bazillion or so prophets BEFORE the Bible was written? If any prophecy that is fulfilled is proof of a true prophet, then I may qualify...I have made a few "prophesies" that have come true in my lifetime!

Because none of the 'prophecies' in the New Testament have been fulfilled and the New Testament is lying about the 'prophecies' it is claiming it is fulfilling from the Old Testament.

firstly , there are prophecies that arent fufilled at all , check the web if you want to.

secondly , there is no concrete evidence that some of the 'fufilled' prophecies are written BEFORE the incident.

thirdly , some of the prophecies are made on obvious stuff , such as man will continue to war etc , considering war exist before dynasty and even happen in insect worlds.

fourthly , most of the prophecies have unlimited amount of dead line.

sure i do agreed that some prophecies seems amazing. that doesnt prove the bible to be true , if 1 prophecies prove the bible to be true , and if there's one ( infact alot ) scientific evidence that prove one biblical facts to be false , would that meant jesus doesnt exist and that the bible is totally false ? it wouldnt either .

if i write a history book ( thus all true ) then i add on the last page that i will become superman , and since my historical evidence is true , would that mean i will become superman ?

lastly i stil have to emphasise , there are quite some prophecies that arent fufilled , if you didnt know thats probably you didnt read them properly or read them at all and just assume all atheist doesnt read teh bible . sadly most atheist are ex christian.

for people who call us god haters and yada yada crap stuff , we don't hate god . if he appear , like if Jesus appear , do REAL miracles , all of us would have convert.

calling us name just show us what Jesus taught you =)

it's a sad thing when we explain how something ' mystical ' is done , we get flamed. why bother to ask then?

This is how you fulfill prophesy... you read it, and you make it happen. You say "Behold, this & that must happen, come on guys, let's do it!" Other times you rewrite what was supposed to happen. And still other times you claim it will happen in the future. If "fulfilled prophecy" is what convinces you that the bible is true, fine, just don't expect to convince too many rational thinkers.

That's easy. The NT writers simpy claimed to have fulfilled prophecies by misconstruing verses from the OT. In some cases, they reference nonexistent prophecies, or transliterate OT verses. Do you have anything but their word that any prophecies were fulfilled? Think about it.

What prophecies? Jesus hasnt come back. So far we an anti-christ hasnt come. The entire book of Revelation has not happened yet. I dont exactly see what prophecies you speak of that have been fulfilled.

Well, to begin with, you've got to realize that the Gospels are fiction... all of it... Mary and Joseph... virgin birth... divine child... wise men... Jesus... his posse... preaching... miracles... Last Supper... trial... crucifixion (crucifction?)... ressurection... ascension... ALL of it... fiction. Jesus never existed.

So... you start with a common, very familiar theme... the suffering-hero-king archetype. Then you write a series of vignettes incorporating the elements of that archetype... virgin birth... divine child... wise men... Jesus... his posse... preaching... miracles... Last Supper... trial... crucifixion... ressurection... ascension into heaven. Then, you take a look back in scripture to find suitable prophecies, which will give the appearance of legitimacy to the story... incorporate accounts of the fulfillment of prophecy into the fiction... and BINGO... send it off to the scribes.

The first Christian writings... the early epistles of Paul (the later ones are clear forgeries) give not even a HINT that he had any idea of an 'earthly' Christ, who had lived and died in the recent past. Paul was completely ignorant of the Christ of the Gospels. In fact, the first hints of a human Christ... Jesus... did not appear until after 70 AD... the gospel of Mark... long after Paul's demise.

Oh, yeah... those fictional vignettes... if you add up all the 'Jesus-time' in the gospels, it works out to no more than three weeks.

Most Christians haven't got a clue about the REAL history of their religion. They just BELIEVE... on FAITH... and take, as fact, all the lies, distortions and misconceptions that are fed to them, without question.

The TRUTH is that during the ascendancy of Christianity, they FORCED the population of a whole continent to SAY that they believed... under pain of torture and death. It was very much like the Borg, on Star Trek NG: "You will be assimilated. Resistance is futile." After a few generations, ACTUAL belief finally took hold... because there were no alternatives. Christianity had utterly destroyed all 'tainted' knowledge... that being all 'non-Biblical' knowledge, that did not conform to church dogma. This, of course, is why humanity descended into the Dark Ages... over a thousand years of deprivation and enforced ignorance, courtesy of Christianity.

Now, Christianity is at it again, threatening (very quietly, by tricking 'moderate' Christians into achieving political objectives under cover of a religious agenda) to drag us into a NEW Dark Ages. Look up 'dominionism'.

Be afraid... be very afraid.

They can't help it. Christians who go about 'spreading the word' are totally oblivious that their own gullibility and lack of discernment, has resulted in their having been unwittingly sucked up into a huge, conspiratorial, criminal business enterprise... the most successful Multi-Level Marketing (MLM) scam of all time. They have no awareness at all that their 'prostletizing' is nothing more than a key component of the MARKETING PLAN, which was instituted after the Age of Enlightenment kicked in, and secular knowledge and ethics deprived Christianity of the political power that had previously allowed them to simply torture and kill anybody who did not comply. Now, they attempt to just pester people to death, through sheer persistence and obnoxiousness.

"Selling eternal life is an unbeatable business, with no customers ever asking for their money back after the goods are not delivered." ~ Victor J. Stenger

"Businesses may come and go, but religion will last forever, for in no other endeavor does the consumer blame himself for product failure."  ~ Harvard Lamphoon, "Doon" (paraphrase)

Most of the prophecies to which you may be referring happened long before anyone here had a chance to witness any of them personally and therefore are viewed as fairy tales for children - I can not see/feel it then it is not true!!!!!!!!!!! faith is often a lost cause these days, sorry.

If you make enough vague prophesies some will come true. Of course, there are those that fail. Jesus was born of Mary and the holy ghost and neither of them were of the line of David.
