I used to think gun control was a good idea till the ATF, FBI, and Delta Force burned those poor people alive in their home down in Waco. Now I encourage everyone to keep a stockpile in their basement. As Ben Franklin was quoted on the subject of democracy: Democracy is two wolves and a sheep deciding what's for dinner. In a republic, the sheep is armed to the teeth.

Alcohol Tobacco & Firearms should be a convenience store not an agency.
After the end of the Cold War, an ex-KGB agent was asked if the USSR ever had a plan to invade the USA. The answer was positively NO. He said that they knew too many US Citizens have firearms and they could never expect to invade and hold.
The freedom to own and bear arms was intended so that the Government would always be held in check by its citizens. Our forefathers were very inciteful on this one.

I own a .22 ,I hunt grouse in the fall with it. It is an enjoyable yearly ritual,my family has done this together for as long as anyone can remember. We don't murder people,if you are responsible and realize that a gun is a tool, like a hammer or a screwdriver ,then there is no reason why you shouldn't be able to own a gun.

Yes.
Our Founding Fathers used weapons to overthrow an oppressive government. They knew that the best way to keep the government from becoming oppressive is to ensure the people have the right to bear arms.
"When the People fear the government there is tyranny, but when the government fears the People there is Liberty"

Yes, take away the right for every law abiding citizen to carry a gun to protect themselves, that way when the criminals still get theirs illegally they won't have to worry about being shot when breaking into someones house or carjacking them.

The Second Amendment guarentees it, but some people should not, ei. convicted felons, people with mental disorders, postal workers (JK).
With any freedom, the right to bear arms should be used responsibly.

I agree that we dont not have as much freedom as we would like to believe BUT I believe in having as much freedom as possible. I do own guns and will own more as I see fit. I believe that we need to own them in order to protect the little bit of freedom that we do have. We do need to be prepared to keep the government in check, even if it may never come to that.

Ask British, Australians, North Korean and other commie nations . They have either given up their rights or had them TAKEN AWAY !! First its the guns, then its steak knifes. Whats next, baseball bats? Governments think that their people are too stupid to think for themselves. I will give up my guns when I assume room temperature.
