I don't really know what you mean. If you mean what is something to do when you're studying to make it less boring, then I say put on music. That's not a good idea for a few people though (me, LoL) because then I get distracted and I begin doodling the lyrics to a song down on paper. Sometimes it's good to study while eating, but I wouldn't suggest TV (I'm so distracted I don't even study during the commercials!).
The ideal way for me to study would be to go to maybe your desk or table, clear everything off, and put all of your papers and books there. That was you're comfortable, and organized. Bring with you a highlighter to mark important info, post-its, index cards, etc.
For motivation, just tell yourself, "If I want to (enter goal here), then I need to do well on this test. If I don't, (enter terrible scenario here) will happen." Since that usually doesn't work for me, then just remember, the earlier and more motivated and concentrated you are, the faster you'll get the boring stuff done.
Also, I heard that listening to classical music helps. I tried that, but then I got distracted with ice-cream, so I'm not sure if it really helps. You can try it though!
Good luck! (You'll need it, and so will I when stupid tests come rolling in)

I have to say that those are all so far horrible ways to have fun! Those are just gross (Remember there are children out. there...Hm..let's think..ME!?) Anyways, reading, or watching tv. Inviting friends over, throwing a party and no acohol! Water balloons are the best, just invite some friends over and have a blast! The beach or a water park is great in this wether! Sleepovers and gosspi are also fun. Writing a story or drawing is a great way to develop skills. Cooking can be fun as well. Shopping, and emailing, snail mail, aaaare all great ways to spend your time.

this is a personal question, since everyones likes are different and it depends on what you're trying to study(to balance out). If this is to balance out studying in the long term, you should do sports..dodge ball team, jogging, biking, swimming, . This is good since you are sitting usual when you study, it stretches you out and gets the blood flowing to your brain. I also like to switch off studying with chores... I like some of them... like organizing, cleaning .... or baking cookies(love to do that). coffee-shop-hopping and people watching ( you know in a sociology way, not a creep way...see how people act in certain situations in general). You can start an art project too, like board-game making for what you're studying.

find a movie that you love
study for 30 min and then let yourself watch it for 15 min. then keep going and repeat as much as you need
that way you get to get away from the books or computer, go into another room and then get recharged to study again. it also helps you not be distracted because it is a movie youve already seen, so you arnt wondering about it while you study. also have something good to eat..... but i would try to ignore the phone or talking to people while you are on your break or it will get you out of focus

Play a video game. I play a level, read a chapter, play a level, read a chapter, etc. I've done this for years and it's cool, doesn't feel like studying at all.

Do what you are now doing and go on your computer to ask or answer a question. While you are at it ask for some interpretations on what you are studying.

While you're studying, either listen to some music or, if that bothers you, just keep something you're looking forward to on your mind. (but that might cause you to daydream)
