There is a saying - As you sow, so shall you reap. A man is supposed to have the good or bad results for the right and wrong deeds done by him.

I have known a man for the last 14 years, who always keeps insulting others. He abuses and harasses others for none of their fault but I have not seen any bad results on him. He and his family is flourishing.

Could you explain the reason behind it? Are some persons exceptions of the universal rule of deeds and results? How would you explain it?

Sounds like a neighbor I have put up with for the last 11 years. As glass_commander said, in time it all catches up to them. Just the nature of the man tell alot. The person is unhappy and takes it out on others. The person I have put up with over the last year is slowly losing everything, including "living." So you see, the saying goes. WHAT GOES AROUND COMES AROUND and "nobody" escapes punishment.......

Perhaps your judgment of this man "flourishing" is in the worldly sense... money, power, house, car, etc. I agree with fenway. There are also other factors to consider.

One other factor is that God judges people according to their knowledge, understanding and personal propensities (for instance, people with physiologically-based mental illness are less accountable for their actions; those raised in happy families, will be more accountable for continuing that good teaching in their own families, while ppl from harsh childhoods may be given more mercy or patience from God).

In terms of divine retribution... or even karma... the knowledge and training of the individual would be taken into consideration.

Someone who has known great truth, and then rejects it and embraces evil, will suffer a lot more deeply than one who only has cause to think they do wrong, but don't know for certain.

You know, this man of who is so hurtful to others, may actually be ten times more loving than his own parents were. He may have improved immensely upon what lot he was given in life. You will probably never know what difficulties he has faced and overcome... ie the strength and desires of his heart. It is the desires of the heart for which we are recompensed, good for good, and evil for evil.

That said, not all recompense happens in this life. For some, like the leper who begged at the rich man's gate, their just recompense does not come until after this mortal probation.

I don't pretend to know the mind of God. I have seen my fair share (even at my young age) of people who go on for years in the type of manor you describe before it finally catches up with them (family implodes in a matter of weeks, etc.)

Well, it could be that he's the sub in a BDSM relationship with his wife, so she's making him pay in ways you have NO way of knowing unless you're in on it with them, OR it could also be that what he has coming, he simply has coming, karma has ways of working out one way or another - best not worry about HIS, how's YOURS? OR it could also be that the next time around he could return as a roach...or a condom...or...
