over charged you and sent trial versions when you bought directly from them; paid for the programs and they turned out to be trial versions? I have heard they changed that policy and have made full versions available reciently, but...?

...I like the computer fine. I think I could have bought it cheaper locally, but their service is good. What exactly do I need to do to activate the expired trial versions to full use? How much?

I bought a Dell a few months ago. All the software I chose when I ordered was correct. (Example: the Internet security software came with a 3-month subscription, which is exactly what it said when I ordered.)

There was additional trial software and free software I didn't request, or want. They've been doing that for years, it would be nice if they didn't.

I've purchased Dells for years, both at home and at work. I don't know exactly how many computers that is, but I'd estimate it's around 100 over the years. I've never paid for a piece of software and received the trial version instead of the full version or had them misrepresent the software that would be installed. My biggest complaint is that they throw in too much crapware, which takes time to uninstall. I wish they'd let me order a custom system without all the free crap that takes up space and clutters the computer up.

I have two Dells and have not found them to have misrepresented anything. There were several trial versions of things I didn't want, but everything I ordered was there, installed, and good to go.

Now, if Dell would reduce the price of its ink cartridges...
