You are crying because you are shocked, scared and worried about your friend. That is natural. You don't know what is going on or how he really is so you are showing your emotions by crying. He can be treated for dehydration with IV's which will sustain him and get him back on course. Don't worry; you'll see. Maybe he didn't drink enough liquid or maybe he was very ill (vomiting and diarrhea) which can make you dehyrated. He needs to get fluids into his body and he will be OK. I am sure the doctors will do tests to find out exactly why he got sick. Say a prayer for your friend and be glad that he is in the hospital to get the proper care that he needs.

Because you care. For his sake, I hope he isn't in a certain specialty hospital in ARKANSAS. An ex friend who is a nurse works there & she has the worst case of nurse burn out I have ever seen. She told me that her idea of a perfect work night was to line them (patients) up, & move them out. Of her area. This can be dangerous to the patient. I hope that your friend will get better. If caring can make someone better, your caring for him will. Good Luck & Blessings

It's natural to be upset when a friend is in the hospital. They will put him on some I.V.'s to get him hydrated and all will be well.

Your worried about him. And you obviously care about him. Maybe you have a lot more stress in your life and this is the final thing that made you break down.

You had an emotional reaction to an emotional issue....does it matter why? Isn't it more useful to put that energy into concern for your friend's well-being? (We can come back to you later once the immediate crisis has passed, okay?)
