I have a 96 nissian sentra, and I need to know if it has one or two oxygen censors?

you will have one
cause its a 4 cylinder car

Any car 96 up has at least 2, one before the converter and one after.

A number of Nissans have one for cyl's 1&2 and another for 3&4 both pre and post cat.

So you may have 4.

Look at the top of the exhaust manifold and see if there are 1 or 2 O2 sensors on top. And also look at the same area and count the number of similar looking, possibly different color wire conectors. Should all be 4 wire though. They all go to O2 sensors if their mounted essentially together. There should be either 2 or 4 connectors.

Dont know on your sentra, but it should be pretty easy to look and count them, usually if your car has one catyllitic converter you will have one oxygen sensor right before it and one right after it. If you have to converters you will have four sensors. Just look for any protrusions from the exhaust pipes, and you will know.

Most in 96 only had one. if it's the V6 how ever it will have 2.

Two one in front on top and the other behind the cat converter near the front sway bar.
