i want to get my tongue split.
im so not an out-there person, but i really want to get it done.
i just want to know how much its realllly going to hurt.

If you are going to get it done, find an oral surgeon to do it.
That can be tricky. Most won't do it. But check around. That way they can control the bleeding and prescribe pain meds.
to everyone here not providing an answer, get bent. I just got my tongue split this morning. Yeah there is blood. But it was the coolest feeling in the world once the final cut was made and the two halves spread apart.
Whatever you do, don't do it at a piercing parlor or do it yourself. It is not worth the risk. My surgeon spent 1 1/2 hours just stopping bleeding!
As for the pain, the pain meds make it tolerable. Don't plan on eating for a few days though. Even drinking water hurts a bit. You really don't know how much your tongue is used in the swallowing process until you have it split!

It depends, how badly do you want to be able to get a job and make a living? It's pretty hard to get hired if you look like a person who would self-mutilate. Bosses would be reluctant to take a chance on someone so high-maintenence and possibly a drama queen.
Being turned down for work if you're poor, can be very painful.

When I got my tongue piercing a customer asked for this. This was at a tattoo and piercing shop. The technicians told him it's illegal if Florida to have your tongue split. They gave him a contact to have it done somewhere.

Yes...It will hurt. It will heal...after a while. However, you have to consider the fact that if you split your tongue, forming words will be much harder.

My gosh why would you want to do that? I would imagine it would hurt ALOT! And what would be the purpose of it?

Idk but if you want to look cooler you should starve untill your bones are visible it'll look way cooler than getting your tongue split
