Because that's what the whole Christians wearing crosses thing seems like to me. Leave Jesus alone. If he were really to come back it's going to make him really upset to see the thing that tortured him unto death immortalized in pewter around the necks of all his friends.

We wear the cross to remember what Christ did for us.

Wo - I don't believe this! - I just had this same discussion toDAY with a recovering Baptist !

She figgered that if JC *did* come back 'down' here, the first thing he might do is go a bit postal over the crucifix-round-the-neck thang.

"Oh my God! Did'nt I teach you guys ANYthing ? That was the WORST freakin' day of my LIFE ! You people are sick, auuughhh ! Dad told me it was a mistake comin' back here !"

If my friends wore a curling iron necklace in my honor because I allowed you to torture me with a curling iron, when THEY deserved it, then I would appreciate the fact that it meant something to them.

Ah a like mind... I often wonder about this if a loved one was shot to death, would they wear little gun shaped pendents? Even if their being shot SAVED the wearers life (maybe they threw their self in front of you and took the bullet)?

yea ,but I came and was sent to you to be burned and I willing did so, and what ever reason I was suppose to do that I did it...Jesus was sent for a purpose and he knew it and we that do wear a cross it is in respect for the sacrifice he gave his life to save ours....If people don't understand, it's because you don't want to understand...you just want to bully and harass people that do....no one harasses any one for wearing the things you people think is so important like 3 in respect for Dale Earhart, or a Harley symbol because you love to ride and it's a great motorcycle, ...so many people wear symbols for a reason...but the people that wear a cross, most of them it is a symbol of love and respect and believe of what he did for us.

You really are missing the point. Jesus always knew he would die, and how he would die. You can not put your self in his mind and think as he does, it is simply impossible.

The fact is he was tourtured by sin, the cross was where he died.

They wear a cross so they don't forget????? you think a Christian would ever forget about Jesus? not likely... but may I suggest you wear it under your shirt. We don't all have to be reminded of your myth 24/7
