There is nothing in the lyrics that is in opposition to Roman Catholic teaching, however, it is not the type of song that should be used in worship. When we go to Mass to worship God, all our songs and prayers should be praising Him and focussed on Him. The "You Raise Me Up" song is all about us and everything God does for us. It's too us-centered to be considered worship of the Lord.
