Without His Grace we are doomed, when I think of Grace I remember an acrostic God's Riches At Christ' Expense.

I read this wonderful explanation.
God's grace is similiar to our own. Like if you specifically choose some one to be your friend, with all his/her flaws for no other reason than because you simply like him/her. Of course God trumps us when He reaches out to intiate a relationship with each person. It is only by grace that we have this opportunity because we are simply not worthy of God. If you wonder why we need a relationship with God, you are just better reading the Bible.

Because we don't have full knowledge or full wisdom and many of our human decisions turn out badly. We get hurt; we hurt others. Sometimes we do all the right things, as far as we know, and nothing goes right. Because we all have a void inside us that only God can fill. We usually seek God after all our other attempts to fill this void fail.

Grace is God's voluntary and loving favor given to those he saves.

We can't earn salvation, nor do we deserve it. No religious, intellectual, or moral effort can gain it because it comes only from God's mercy and love. Without God's grace, no person can be saved. To receive it, we must acknowledge that we cannot save ourselves, that only God can save us, and that our only way to receive this loving favor is through faith in
Christ.

We need God's grace because no one is good enough to save himself or herself. If we want to live eternally with Christ, we must depend totally on God's grace.

This is true whether we have been murderers or honest, hardworking citizens. We have all sinned repeatedly, and any sin is enough to cause us to come to Jesus Christ for salvation and eternal life. Apart from Christ, there is no way for our sin to be forgiven and removed.

Because no matter how I try I still make mistakes. As well as do others. Sometimes I hurt others, sometimes they hurt me. I think God's grace softens the blows of life.
Blessed Be

Because everybody sins. The world was originally created perfect and without sin. That didn't last very long. Mankind had one "don't do this" rule (eat the fruit from a given tree) what did mankind do? Ate from the one tree they were told not to. Mankind has been sinning ever since. God is holy and as such, can not overlook sin. To sin equals punishment-penality. Just like a person getting caught speeding. The speeding ticket has to be rectified. A fine has to be paid. Jesus paid the fine for sin for us We can't pay it because we still sin and sin willingly.Something, someone, sinless and perfect is the only way to pay the penality for sin. It takes 100% holy, perfection to attone, pay for 100% sin. That's where Jseus comes into play.
We all know right from wrong, good from bad, etc. Most people know the 10 commandments...not to kill, steal, lie, take Gods name in vane(curse) etc. Do we do these things? Do we do the things we're not supposed to do? You know we do. Why? Murders, theft, lying, go on everyday. Even if a person wants to reject a commandment/s such as not committing adultery, honoring our parents, not attending church, that doesn't mean God has rejected them or doesn't count them as being wrong anymore. Is it wrong to have an affair with another persons spouse? Yes. A person may not agree with pre-marital sex as being wrong. They may not feel that an affair is wrong. But God, as well as many people, feel it's wrong. Does it go on often? Yes. These, like any sin, needs to be atoned for and forgiven. We don't deserve forgiveness, we can't, and haven't earned it. It's not like God owes us something. We are the ones that openly sin..not Him. We know right from wrong but we still do the sinful and wrongful things anyway. God doesn't make us sin. We do it all by ourselves. We need Gods grace to atone for our sins. Jesus committed no sins. Jesus accepted our sins and suffered the punishment on Himself to relieve us of punishment=Hell that we rightfully deserve. Jesus didn't have to do this. He did nothing wrong to have to suffer for our sins. Jesus did it out of love and to provide a way of forgiveness, and salvation for us. The grace of God is Jesus dying on the cross for our sins. The Bible states that is by grace (the grace of god toward us) we are saved through faith (faith in God and faith in what Jesus has done for us) and not of works. Works, meaning any good things we might do, or not doing a real lot of bad things i/e we can't earn our own forgiveness.. Now, we need to accept what Jesus has done and try to live accordingly.

Because it's His party and you can't get in without an invite. Of course, it depends on if you belive in salvation by grace or by your own good deeds.

There is no grace. I have argued this point with Christian theologians and they ran away. Here's an extremely cut-down version of the argument... according to the dogma, someone had to pay, also, people have to do something (believe/accept this and that), so where exactly is the grace?
