I'm sure they're getting tired of being shot at for no good reason.

I just looked at CBS site. Your link matches the format up to 2007 after that they use the date/story number. Looks like the link got trashed in the copy process
Edit: Ah yes the Puerto Rican National Guard, a true representation of the Active Forces.
Fateridder: A note about Self Inflicted Deaths. I have not found any data for years prior to 1980. However from 1980 until 1995 those deaths were in the mid 200's. In 1996 they dropped into the mid 100's and have changed little since.

contributors of Congress behave fairly too in a well mannered way for my section. Being a Brit i'm lots greater used to the confrontational form of the residing house of Commons the place any best minister attempting to make a speech shouldn't get even a sitting ovation, in no way recommendations a status one. as a rule what he gets is a good variety of yah-boo and the sluggish hand clap he merits.

The military business is nearly complete. The actions of the Iraqi government is oblivious to any possible peace. It is no longer a question of will we withdraw troops.
The Iraqi leaders are what they are. Fighting for these leaders is hurting the United States.
Fighting to keeping these leaders in power is vain. It is time for the Iraqi people to fight for themselves. The Iraqi leaders are using the US to serve and protect their position and power.
Life is difficult.

People usually think the troops agree with the war. The reason is because it is illegal for anyone in the military to talk bad about the war or the president. Thats why you never hear the troops criticize the war.

Absolutely nothing. It was in Puerto Rico...you know that little island in the Caribbean, that is not part of the United States, but a self governing unincorporated territory of the United States with Commonwealth status.

Military personnel will always support and obey the president because they took an oath saying they would. They don't have to AGREE, but they have to take orders and support.
The reason the Republican party and George Bush got flak for that event was because they aren't allowed to use the Military for party purposes. Also it was evident that the war wasn't over at that date because... well we're still there fighting.

These men want to come home. I imagine this tape will disappear really fast.
Autumn is bang on. The one below her has had too much Koolaid.
Flyfinger knows. The rest of you are nuts to think this.
I knew most Americans were ungrateful to their troops when I read one ask if it was normal to be frightened or to miss his wife.. and he was called every bad name in the book by the respondents!
If you want to know what war does to men, watch Henry Rollins in this piece of "comedy".

Its the only way the troops can respond in unison to a wholly lost cause! Un-winable war from day 1.
The US Military cannot arrest 4,000 troops - but I stake a bet they are looking at every who applauded - and no doubt - having quiet words with many!
Time to strike camp and leave. Long, long, long overdue!
Come the American elections, few of the military, if any, will support / vote for a future President determined to "press-on" with the Iraq war.
The Legacy of Vietnam and now the criminal / pitiful waste of American and Allied soldiers in Iraq will haunt US politics for generations to come!

A National Guard colonel said that the governor of Puerto Rico got a standing ovation from National Guardsmen.
There are a lot of them that are willing to serve, but I am sick of some members of the National Guard complaining about having to serve. They want to wear the uniform and act big, but they don't want to do their job.

The troops are the ones that are on the ground there and know what the realities of the situation are. They are more equipped to spot facts and dismiss spin.
