Hello everyone. I guess, even if you are not a Christian who is in alcohol of drug recovery, you may still know which Bible I am referring to. I got a very special bible when I was in a half way house, but I think I may have accidentally left it at my parent's house when I moved, and now I want to find a copy of it again, but I cannot seem to find it anywhere. This bible had personal stories of other recovering individuals throughout the books of the bible and it is also commonly used in bible study at the prisons and given to prisoners that request a bible. It is multi- colored swirls on the outside and just says Holy Bible on the cover. Please, if you know the publisher, please give me that information. Thank you so much!

Dorothy.... As far as I know, there isn't any one specific Bible for such places..... I've known 3 different people that had been in 3 different places and none of them had the one you mentioned. :)
Suggestion: Call the halfway house that you had been in and ask whom had supplied the Bibles... Bet ya if you phoned that place/person, you may be able to get a replacement!
Otherwise, google it... describe it in search, see what pops up! ***edit: Just tried typing in drug recovery special Bible... there's actually some links speaking about similar if not same Bible! check it out! :)

I'm not recovering from anything, nor am I a Christian, but couldn't you just contact the halfway house where you were and ask them what the bible was?
