At least after 8 weeks the longer the better, mom teaches the pups a lot of manners especially about playing, she's the one that teaches them how rough you can play before its too rough.

If it is a small breed wait till their at least 10 weeks or older, they seem to have a harder time weaning sometimes.

Definitely make sure they are eating and drinking completely on their own before they go to new homes.

I prefer 12-16 weeks, but never younger than 8. Don't even consider buying from a breeder that will let them go sooner. The reason I like them at 12-16 is that they are so much easier to train, calmer, and just seem like more socially adept dogs.

Puppy needs to be at least 8 weeks old - a few more weeks if it is a small breed.

8 weeks but if the liter is a toy breed wait 9-11 weeks.
But if you have a medium or large litter 8-9 weeks.
I hd adn still have a litter of goldens and they are gonna stay with momy until they are 9 weeks, and until they get adopted!
GOOD LUCK!

the longer it is with its mom and siblings, the more it learns.
If you don`t want to have problem pups, then wait 8-12 weeks.
