Why do you think this happens?

My experiences include:
After my mom died I saw a shooting star in the sky. About 6 months later, I was falling asleep, and I heard her say the shooting star was me. It was not really a sighting, but it is strange.
Our cat (Carolina) died in April, I have seen her several times in the house and so has my partner. On July 4th, a cat we named (Merlin) appeared on our porch and would not leave, so we took him in, he acts just like her now that he is inside, sleeps in the same spots, does so many similar things, and we have not seen her since before July 4th.

I can do you one better (ok I'm getting the shivers as I write this so it better be worth it for you). A couple of years ago my friend's sister died in a car wreck. The night she died I saw her in the floor of my bedroom. The next morning I had on the answering machine a blank message, followed by one from my mom telling me about the accident. I have no idea why these things happen though.

i was in living in austin, and i woke up around 1 something a.m. i saw my grandmother walking at my right; she was looking down -- you know how people look down when they're walking. i just didn't think much about it cos the phone rang. i let the answering machine catch it cos i didn't want to have a hard time falling asleep. it was my mom telling me that my grandmother had died.
it happens because life is more than just people walking around on this planet. my maternal side has always been intuitive. if one isn't open to it, then there may not be that understanding or connection. one of my college roommates said she'd sought to be like me her entire life, and she couldn't believe how it was so easy for me.

This world is definitly full of surprises. I got too many strange experiences to write about here, and actually, it could do a few books if written down, but they are definitly things outside our understandings that happened in this world, for reasons unknown... I guess life try to teach us that our world is in fact a united thing and that somehow we are all connected... See the movie The Fountain and you will get a glimpse of what I am refering too! This movie is quoted science-fiction... Not fantasy, just because its based on scientific experiments done in accelerators in Switzerlands... Experiments that conclude that our world is in fact one thing!!

Yes I have.
My cat died and out of the left eye I could see a partial body form of that cat.
Wishfull thinking, an apperition, I don't know.
I saw it for days.
I did like that cat a lot. He was my bud.
Never saw him out of my right side.
My left eye is very bad 20/2000

Depends on what you believe. Is it just your minds image of the person or animal or is it actually spirit. I believe my dog of 13 years was around my house for weeks after we had him put to sleep. I swear I heard his footsteps in the kitchen while I was downstairs. But I'll never have proof and it is a comfort for me to believe. Some people believe when your dead your dead. I think they are going to be surprised.

Yes I have seen my cat that died.
I still see him, I also see ghosts and I can talk to them but I have not seen any in a while. Apart from a big golden pyramid shape object two nights ago I watched it float across the wall.
It means that you have a psychic ability to see the dead. You maybe a ghost whisperer.

I've seen people who have passed on. An ex-boyfriend stayed at my house once seen a man he described him to me the description was of my grandfather he never met or seen my grandfather. I believe some roam after they die.. sometimes to say goodbye or because they are lost.

in buddhist it says after the person died within 50 days (if im not wrong), the soul is still on earth. that's why sometimes we can see the dead
