O Prophet! Make war against the unbelievers [all non-Muslims] and the hypocrites and be merciless against them. Their home is hell, an evil refuge indeed." (Koran, 9:73)

This is when Muhammad declared war against the people of Mecca (which consisted of people of all religions, Jews Christians, Pagans, Zoroastrians etc.) who were trying just as hard to kill him because of his beliefs. It does NOT apply to today's world.

That chapter doesn't start with the part that goes "In the Name of Allah blah blah blah," which all other chapters in the Qur'an start with, indicating, that it was NOT intended to be included in the Islamic holy book.

It is very much like your last question:
For Muslims. what does this verse mean?
"Fight and kill the disbelievers wherever you find them, take them captive, harass them, lie in wait and ambush them using every stratagem of war." Qur'an:9:5
What! You not like the answers you got from that one so you trying again? Well I did enjoy the answers, so much that I am including them below. They help me to realize that the Muslims and Christians are in a similar battle. A battle to instigate hate, death and war. The culprits of this caios, those saying with their lips "I am Christian" or "I am Islam", but with their deeds they show otherwise. The Holy texts they dissect taking here a little and there a little, prying them apart and piecing together a new idea, one that does not even closely resemple the original.

It means exactly what it says. I doubt any Muslims will answer your question unfortunately. I would like to discuss this with them in a civil manner. When I've tried, they haven't been able to stand up for themselves instead of going with the Borg.

In Jesus' Love,

What? You need a translation?
It speaks for itself. Haven't you heard the media, and even our President telling us that Islam is a religion of peace?

By the way, are you interested in the Brooklyn Bridge? I'll sell it to you for the right price.

It does not refer to all non-Muslims, it refers to people who do not believe in the God of Abraham. Christians and Jews are spared from the attack. So unlike the Christian way....
