I just reason from your answers, not giving an opinion.

It sounds contradictory to me. Couldn´t you guys believe without having to feed a church? You know, having your personal belief in a supreme power without giving so much to an institution that (you said it yourself) would not relinquish power so easily even to a god!
As an atheist I´d have an immense respect for a believer that is willing to search for his/her own version of the big picture.

Church is NOT a building.. it is your body.. Mind and soul.
Worshiping of God occurs when two or more people gather and praise God.
You have no belief in God, yet you post in a forum such as this. That would mean your religious beliefs are in the lack of a god instead of the belief that God does exist.
I did not take the belief of God lightly. When you witness what I perceive as a miracle, it is very difficult NOT to believe...

Rev Albert,
Please re-read Revelations... there will be 7 years of Tribulation. before Christ returns. In that time, the true believers will have risen to be with the Lord and the rest will have to live here on earth as the Anti-Christ rules.
After the 7 years there will be the return of Christ and the saving of those who did convert during the trials of the tribulations.

I follow Jesus, but I go to church to be with other believers. I enjoy the song service and the presence of God is so strong, it is beautiful and refreshing. It is like taking a shower, where you feel all warm and clean. I give to the church so that other people can attend also and enjoy the same experience. It takes money to pay for the rent and utilities. Our church is looking forward to Jesus returning and taking control over the earth. He is our King and Lord.

.According to Scripture...The 'rapture ' of the Church occurs simultaneously with Christ's second Coming in glory and the resurrection of the dead.............All occur together,(see I Thess. 4:15-17); ..."AFTER the Tribulation of those days"(Matt. 24:29-31)
"...At the LAST trumpet"... I Corin. 15:52

Don't be deceived by the fictional "Left Behind" series....which is based on a common misconception that claims the 'rapture' occurs years before Christ's Return. This is not found in Scripture.

I am a Christian and I believe organized religion is the worst thing to ever happen to Christianity! The word "Church" in the greek just means people....not an institution that you have to give money too!
