Yes... I have many friends and family I like and love who do not share my beliefs... It can work if both parties respect each other and each persons right to choose for themselves..

Yea, I say its pretty easy, unless they are trying to convert me or their religious beliefs heavily over flow into the rest of their lives. Prime example, I have a friend that pratices wicca. I don't see anything too wrong with that. Only problem I have with her doing it though is the fact that she is only doing it because she found out some past relatives practiced it. I've seen charmed and loved the show. But in the "real" world here, no one is really destined to be a witch and do magical stuff like on that show. So as I see it she is clinging more or less to an ideal that her ancestors had some thousands of years ago and trying to relive it today. I'm sure they had pratical reasons for it back then, but today I think many people, my friend included use it when they need something or try to scare people, so they feel their lives with all this big and bad belief system. And try to make everyday just as "witchy" as they can. But yea that is the only problem I have with it. Other wise than that, I can sit back and be fine with religion.
Big P.S. When finding the right religion make sure it is the right one for you. And not just because you heard it was something cool to do. And never ever let it consume your life. Its fine not to eat meat or whatever. But no crazy blood sacrifices to the Goddess so and so. Thats just whacked. No pun intended.

Oh yes! I'm a Seventh Day Adventist and lived with my best friend who is a Catholic for 9 years and have known each other for 17 years. She is still my best friend. We both have been through many tough times together and have been very supportive of each other. Although she is staying with her bf currently we still call each other. I don't force my religion on her. When we first started living with each other she had never known an Adventist before and would ask me questions about what I believed. I would answer her truthfully and then no more unless she had more questions. I have another friend who is a Methodist and she would occasionally ask what my beliefs were and again I would tell her and then no more. There are things I don't agree with in Methodism and Catholicism, but the religion is not the person themselves. We have agreed to disagree so we can remain good friends. :)
I haven't asked many questions of them, because I have many resources that I can look to for that information.

I also can and do. Being a friend to someone is because you like something about them, their personality, ideas, characteristics, etc. I have made many friends here and most of them are Muslims (I'm Christian) and there are some things about the religion I disagree with. I'm also engaged to a Muslim so I can definitely be more than just a friend.

I sure hope so, since I've been involved in a longtime relationship with someone who doesn't share my religious beliefs. I disagree with all kinds of beliefs and philosophies, but can get along quite well with some of the adherents of those beliefs. Most of my friends aren't members of my own religion.

yeah totally! Well I never disagree with people's religions because I believe that all religions have some truth and lies in there..but yeah all of the friends that I have, have a different religion. Its really cool knowing people from different religions because you learn from them.

YES! I do respect all religions and beliefs. I have christian friends, a dear hindu friend, a spiritualist, and would like to know people of other beliefs...
People may differ in their beliefs, but they are still from one origin.. They are all humans.. I really believe in that.. :)

If you dislike everyone whose religion is different than you than you are going to end up disliking most people you meet unless you live in a community where everyone is the same religion.

I can & have frequently.
All involves respect & a willingness to agree to disagree about select topics. Or atleast permit a little (very light) teasing now & then.
