I read in a book (So Yesterday) that a girl used a wi-fi detector as a bracelet. I really want to do that, but how is it possible? what type of wi-fi detector do i use?

I'm sorry, i meant 'wifi' not 'wi-fi'.

You can buy mini wifi and blue-tooth detectors so you can find "free" hot spots for your laptop.
